~ma to everyone.
I just had to cut short my third class and cancel my fourth, because I was teaching three classes in a row in a building with no air conditioning, and it's over 90 degrees, and by the time I'd been teaching for an hour and a half, I was dripping with sweat and felt like I was going to either faint or throw up, and I just couldn't handle it for another hour and a half. Same classrooms and same weather tomorrow, but I'll be giving a quiz, so I won't have to use as much energy.
Do you have any TAs you can get to fan you and peel you grapes, a la Cleopatra?
Those are so you, Trudy.
Oh me, they'd be redic. But on you? What the pretty lady said.
Grouchy.
Seriously, Universe, could you give the PixDesigns a break? I think they've more than earned it at this point.
This. THIS. PAY ATTENTION, UNIVERSE, AND START BEHAVING YOURSELF.
Trudy, I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need those Docs.
Jilli, you don't need those Docs.
You might need the Mary Jane, however.
Seska, may the process of getting your house into accessible shape for you be the opposite of the buying process - surprisingly smooth and efficient.
Speaking of medical issues....
This morning Andrea accompanied me to the doctor to hear the results of my sleep study two weeks ago.
The bottom line of it is that my results set off alarm bells. Apparently I'm one of the worst sleepers they've ever seen.
He showed us charts and things that I will let Andrea describe, but essentially I'm not getting enough air.
At one point there were 40 second gaps in my breathing.
Scary, but really? Explains a lot about my general tiredness and lethargy the last few years.
So, next Tuesday night? Hospital overnight 30 miles from here.
The friend I know who had similar news and got a CPAP machine has felt SO MUCH BETTER since she did. I'm glad they've diagnosed you DCJ and hope they get you set up with affordable help ASAP.
Yikes, D! But good for you moving forward on getting diagnosis and treatment that can help you.
Eep, DCJ. Hope the next sleep study can pinpoint the cause and suggest treatment.
