Pete the cat escaped this morning before I left for work. Ordinarily I'd stay home and wait for her to come back, but I have a very important meeting this morning with a guy who's in the city once a month. I'm going home straight after, but I still feel horrible and am asuming that she'll be horribly injured/dead by the time I get home.
I am such a bad cat mum.
Seska, I'm sorry that The Girl's father is in such poor health, and I'm sorry that you are having to postpone your wedding.
Jars, it's not your fault. I tell my cats, I have to go to work so I can buy cat food. We can only do the best that we can do. Still, sending a little bit of safety~ma for Pete.
She's fine! I'd left a window cracked in case she decided to come back, and when I got home she was napping in the middle of our bed, the little bitch. If she wasn't so adorable she'd be in serious trouble.
Good, I'm glad Pete's home. It's hard to concentrate on work stuff when we're worried about the little furballs, isn't it?

Yes! I probably had a glazed look of urgency in my eyes through the whole meeting this morning. They'll probably want me to give a urine sample this afternoon.
Thanks, WindSparrow. We haven't made any decisions yet. People are already irritated at us for postponing the last time! We'll see how it goes.
Glad to hear Pete is OK, Jars!
Why does it seem like Catholic schools are practically the only ones properly and consistently preparing students for college-level math? Among my students who went to public school, I've got some who are really great at everything we're doing, but a lot of others who don't understand the basics of how numbers and arithmetic and algebra work, yet they someone kept getting promoted through all the high school math classes. The kids who went to Catholic school are less likely to have seen calculus before, but every single one of them can do long division and can add fractions and knows that (x + y)/x does not equal y.
Shir has too much work on to post here today, but she wanted me to put this link up:

She says she's in the middle of a media blitz!
