Mal: Does.. um.. does this seem kind of tight? Kaylee: Shows off your backside.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Aims, unless he thinks your schoolwork is suffering, how is that any of his business?

That was my question.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

even if your schoolwork is suffering, still not his business to go further than pointing out the shortcomings. Not unless you're paying him for guidance counseling.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Ditto on strange email to Aims.

and happy anniversary to the House of Reason!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, it was in response to an email that we were REQUIRED to send regarding our partcipation grade. I graded myself low because my participation has been low with the new job and not being in front of a computer all day. He said I wasn't that low but that the school has 24/7 computer labs if I need access. I told him I have access at home, I just need to be better at managing my time. Then he sent the email about doing all things is hard.

And yes, it's VERY hard. And I work my ass off to make sure that all that I do is done as well as I can make it. And as a result, I have a 3.5 GPA and a solid B in this class. But it's almost like he reached into my brain, found the one most vulnerable thing, and brought it out to show me.

Thanks, dude.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Geez, Aims. Allow me: May that professor's washer and dryer keep breaking down, even after he buys new ones, so that at least once a month, he must schlepp to the laundromat, every month for the rest of his life.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Sorry your professor butted in where he wasn't wanted, Aims. Congrats on managing all that workload AND getting a 3.5 GPA!

Bummer about the citizenship, Zenkitty. My dad could have been grandfathered in as an Irish citizen right up to the point where Ireland joined the EU but he didn't do it. So he can't pass it on to me, dammit. Same with my mom and Italian citizenship.

Seska, smonster - thanks. It really helps to see your words of sympathy because I don't get much understanding at home. The alarm went off at 6:30 today and I just turned it off because I was aching so badly I knew I needed to give my body more time to physically recover. I may go back to bed again because I can feel I just won't be capable of much.

The status is NOT quo.

Playing devil's advocate--while I think the prof should have couched his email in "perhaps," I suspect he was responding out of concern rather than trying to tell Aims what to do, especially since this was a response to a series of emails about why she graded herself low. t shrugs Not saying he should have said it--just saying I think he may have meant well.

Anyway, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Also, HAPPY 13th ANNIVERSARY to Jilli and Pete! They are here visiting us this week, so I get to tell them in person once they wake up. Hurray!

ETA: Spidra, meant to say earlier that I am so sorry about the situation you are in.
