Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

'Life of the Party'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

can i put in a standing reqest for thread names to not include any mention of cookies (or other baked goods)? Every time i look at buffistas, i want a cookie. And that is very often. (why yes, i am highly suggestible when sugar is involved)

OTOH, i'm much better at my job after a cookie, far nicer to the callers. But then i go swimming and catcha glimpse of myself in a mirror and shudder in shock and horror.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Tired. extra low on energy and not sure why

Allergies? Lack of sunlight? October is usually a month when I feel extra tired for those reasons.

We took care of the tux rental tonight, and I have a dress fitting tomorrow. We plan on applying for our marriage license on Friday. Things are coming together for this elopement.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The people who have been on campus the past week or so protesting abortion with those huge posters of gory late-term abortion photos have added something new -- today, they had with them a group of little kids who held hands and danced around in a circle while singing "A fetus is a person." So wrong, in so many ways.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am super extra tired but I know exactly why. First, it`s that whole regular massive loss of blood thing we do all the time. Ridiculous system, honestly. And secondly, I was solo doing the traveling music school thing today. The SO is covering the music store while the owner`s in Hawaii. So, extra dosh for us (good since I fucked up and went way over on data by falling asleep with Rhapsody downloading). But tiring.

But cramps and rumbly tummy have been settled by plain rice cooked in homemade chicken stock. And the kiddoes were super fun today, with bonus science time where we played with UV reactive beads and black light. And I am now hanging out in front of the fire so I feel much better. Heading out to pick up the mail and the SO, in that order, shortly.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Sorry the allergies are messing you up. I hope that resolves for the better soon.

The Twitterer for The Chuck Jones Center just tweeted that they'd heard my album and were buying it for their private collection. Also, Issue 3 of Zelda magazine just came out and that will have my first (and likely only) print ad for this album so I'm excited about that. Two nice things in one day!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

::sigh:: So, a friend talked some sense into me, and I've emailed B. to let him know that it's probably not a good idea for me to come meet him in NOLA. As much fun as it would be, I'm just getting too old for this long-distance ill-fated crush thing. I'll come down some other time. Hopefully I'll get over it at some point, at least enough to hang out without getting all googly eyed.

::sigh::

Bed time for me.

Yay Spidra! Very cool.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Spidra, that is awesome!

smonster, that is...responsible, but depressing? I'm sorry.

Beth, remember to read slower than usual. People get nervous and speed up and can't "hear" it, so if you read slow enough that you think you are reading too slow, it's probably about right.

That's very good advice, Erin. I second that!

Ah, smonster... crushes can be fun but many of us get crushed by them. It probably is the better part of valour to live to crush another day.
