'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm so sorry, Fred.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm sorry about Max, Fred.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Fred. Max had a very good life with y'all. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Shir, I snorfled at your boobs quip. And keep on doing what you're doing. Sharing info and supporting each other is an important piece of stopping harassment.

Doing evals today. No one has refused to sign theirs, so that's a good sign. I'm getting some he said she said, but it's not too bad.

ZOMG, one of the Fresh Markers just sent me a forward about friends being like butt cheeks, complete with large naked lady butt. Remove head from sphincter, please.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I had some issues with the movie (like the dislocated shoulder in a sling in one scene and full mobility in the next, and don't get me started on Mary Louise Parker)

Heh. The Girl and I, rabid feminist pair that we are, were irritated that Helen Mirren's character was *awesome* right up until the moment that she needs, in the final event, to be rescued by her man. But she was amazing. As were all of the old-school action heroes.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm with you Seska, but the number of times she kicked ass and took names almost made up for it. I was thinking about that, and I wonder if I would have thought of it in that way if John Malkovich had been the one to save her. Was the issue that she was saved by her long lost love (who then carried her out) or that she was saved by a man? Given that almost all of the other characters were men, the odds were good.

I actually had another issue with a loose end in the film Who shot Joe? I understand that he was disguised as Frank, but did one of the random FBI swat team shoot him? (in an unprecedented display of interagency communication) or was it some random assassin? I wished that had been made clear.
