Sox, much peace and love to you all. I can't even imagine our house without the animals, and I'm glad your pup had so many wonderful years of being wanted and adored.
SA, nice to see your pixels.
amych! YAY! I am so freakin' excited for you!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nothing real close by but if I had thought of it early enough, I would have gone to Descanso Gardens today. Might go tomorrow if I'm up early enough. Bought some seed starter mix and a seed tray today so I can start up some stuff. Should give me at least a couple weeks before they have to be planted out.
Today was mellow by comparison to yesterday. If my scalene muscles had relented I would even have called it a good day. :)
In worth its own post: Sox, I'm so very sorry. {{{{{}}}}}
She was a lucky dog indeed.
Spidra, I'm glad you had a better day.
Also:
AND IT'S ALL THE BUFFISTAS FAULT BECAUSE SA SUGGESTED CO-WRITING A WESLEY WYNDAM-PRYCE/LEX LUTHOR CROSSOVER FENCING FIC AND I THOUGHT I OUGHT TO DO SOME RESEARCH.
Did I mention how much I fucking love you, people?
Edit: thank you all for the good luck wishes, too!

Which reminds me: on more than one occasion yours truly went into the computer farm, where a lot of men, including some religious men, seemed really interested in this show (by the look on their faces as they watched it online).
And no, I don't think it was for educational purposes either.
So sorry, Sox.

It's a good show. How many people watch TV in the computer farm? I've seen people wtach music ideos at the library but most people seem to be doing research, checking emails or facebook, or looking for jobs.
I'd say that 2-3 people out of 30 are watching TV in any given time.
Y'know, I've only ever seen a few episodes of Supernatural. I might use my next flare to catch up on a few seasons. (Yes, this is how I plan my life.) I have one colleague who watches TV on his computer in the office, but the rest of them are extremely hard-working and don't even seem to spend any time on Facebook. Disturbing.
Seska, do you think The Girl would like to read and give me her two cents on this?
I'll ask her. I'm sure she'll be interested - it's feminism and Israel, after all. Really glad to hear you're getting somewhere with it! Hope it gets lots of interest and contributions.
Continued success~ma for the new job, smonster. Glad to hear it's going well.
amych, *huge* congratulations on the Buffista-fic-inspired fencing win!
Really sorry to hear about your dog, Sox.
No idea what I'm doing today. Except writing a four-year schedule to show my supervisor that I need more than three years on this PhD. Meep. There is less pain today! Wishing the same to everyone who's having pain at the mo.
