I've been hoarding my candle stash from the outlet in NC, but it's dwindling. At some point I'ma have to restock.
Slower than I would have thought, however, since I'm hampered in my candle use by a husband with an internal thermostat permanently set at magma. He starts griping about ambient heat if I light more than one bitty flame in the very large room. No more Shaolin temple (or Sting vid) atmosphere for me.
Anti-pain~ma for Pix, erin_o, Spidra, et. al.
Go, Amych! Congratulations! I saw the name of your opponenent in Teppy's post, and thought, "Is she getting ready to face the zombies?" Said it out loud too, which is why Daniel started to search how many classics of literature have been zombified, leading to the finding of "Zombies of Lake Woebegotten".
Thank you, erika, for what you are doing for democracy.
I just sent 12 emails to people I trust with the texts to Hollaback Israel in Hebrew. I hope to get at least one or two good beta-reading out of it (Seska, do you think The Girl would like to read and give me her two cents on this?).
I'm exhausted, but thrilled that this is finally going somewhere. I'm some feedbacks and about 5 hours away from having Hollaback Israel up and running.
Fucking finally.
Graaaaah, I accidentally slept for almost twelve hours.
Ikea Parties (help friends assembly tons of wardrobe and shelves) are fun! And you meet new people. Yes, looking up Pasadena way.
It's too bad ours wasn't a love connection, omnis. That would have been a great story to tell the grand-nieces and nephews.
yeah right! That also was the party were e_o met a lot of us buffistas, iirc. There were like 5 of us there, no?
You're welcome.
Yay for Amych on fencing, and Shir for Hollaback Israel.
Excellent news, Shir. May you get the feedback you need, and get the site up and running. And may it be a voice for women in Israel, helping you work together for your rights and your safety.
Congrats, Shir!
I went out in the misty/drizzly day and tried to get the 1 year old heirloom seed garlic planted. Found that most of them had not survived well so I don't expect a good germination rate. Had to clean up the pool shed to even get to the planting stuff (the extra pots and stuff are stored in the enclosure that the pool pump, etc. are in).
I was so tempted to just start digging into the ground where I've been allowed to have a small garden. But I knew that I'd get one or two digs in and completely strip my hands/arms' ability for the day. And probably piss off the 'rents. Very difficult to be patient, though! Gardening is therapeutic to me and I need therapy now in the worst way.
It's nice to have been outside, though.
