Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Awesome Medal Winning Photos indeed!

Seems I slept through the rain. It looks to be sunny outside.

Anti-Pain~ma to all my Bitches.

Ikea **STORE** is the Devils playground. It will break me if I have to wander it's path the whole way. The furniture is hit or miss. Some really great, some really wobbly. Which reinforces my theory on there name - Ikea = icky or yeah! However, Ikea Parties (help friends assembly tons of wardrobe and shelves) are fun! And you meet new people. Yes, looking up Pasadena way.

Barb, since you complied with the original request for the website change, and now she is making another change demand, I can't help but feel this sounds like legal blackmail. "well, as long as they started to respond to my demands, I will keep making demands, because they fear the court". Can you say "fuck you!" and slap her with a harassment suit? If she wanted a list of crap addressed, she should have but all of it in the first demands letter. Either way, tons of calm~ and decision~ ma.

Hil, it sounds like you need a new computer. Don't forget, as an educator, you can probably get some nice discounts. Also, save the receipt, as you can write it off taxes.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

those are photos of NATIONAL MEDAL-WINNING AMYCH!!!!

Yay—go Amych!

And go erikaj, too, with your vote getting out-ness and all.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Congratulations, amych!

Barb, I wouldn't even comply with her website demands because capitulating to that makes it look like she has a point. As far as I can tell from what's been written on b.org, she doesn't. Unless you get a judge who is also a certifiable loon, I don't see how you can lose this case. I hope you legally slap her 'til her head spins right off (the rest of the way).

IKEA stands for Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd. There's your useless trivia for the day.

My parents are in Hawaii right now meeting possible future in-laws. I've popped an email off asking if there's a neckbrace anywhere in the house because I have to try to get my scalenes to stop contracting. Having something that will hold my head up without me doing it might get them to lay off me.

Anti-pain~ma to them what needs it. We seem to be full of the pain this week.

erikaj, it's totally cool that you're phone banking to get out the vote. Yay you!

I went to the garage to dig up my 1 year old seed garlic. I hope it'll still work. Still no raised beds here so I'm going to plant them in pots.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, that's fantastic, amych! Thanks for letting us be there vicariously, Tep.

Aims, are you going to be a Handmaiden for H'ween?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Wheeee, Amych fencing and awesome!!!

Seska, I've yet to set foot in an Ikea, although I fear the day isn't far off. I need some things and it seems to be the best place to go get it, but I've long suspected it's evil incarnate.

You should go with me when I need to stock up on candles. Adds entertainment value, I am told.

eta: one of the delightful things about the unfinished pine is that if you happen to leave a candle burning on a shelf, a little too close to the next shelf up, your whole living room fills with the wintry smell of toasting pine. a pleasant reminder to move the fire.

I, too, know this. Oops.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Aims is Ofmiracle, I bet. A nice, godly name.

MEDAL YAY!. Damn, I remember when you were just getting into fencing.

I've been hoarding my candle stash from the outlet in NC, but it's dwindling. At some point I'ma have to restock.

Slower than I would have thought, however, since I'm hampered in my candle use by a husband with an internal thermostat permanently set at magma. He starts griping about ambient heat if I light more than one bitty flame in the very large room. No more Shaolin temple (or Sting vid) atmosphere for me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Anti-pain~ma for Pix, erin_o, Spidra, et. al.

Go, Amych! Congratulations! I saw the name of your opponenent in Teppy's post, and thought, "Is she getting ready to face the zombies?" Said it out loud too, which is why Daniel started to search how many classics of literature have been zombified, leading to the finding of "Zombies of Lake Woebegotten".

Thank you, erika, for what you are doing for democracy.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I just sent 12 emails to people I trust with the texts to Hollaback Israel in Hebrew. I hope to get at least one or two good beta-reading out of it (Seska, do you think The Girl would like to read and give me her two cents on this?).

I'm exhausted, but thrilled that this is finally going somewhere. I'm some feedbacks and about 5 hours away from having Hollaback Israel up and running.

Fucking finally.
