I wanna die in bed surrounded by fat grandchildren, but guess that's off the menu.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Plei, tons of ~ma to your dad.

~ma to meara's friend's nephew, how awful.

Teppy, you seem calm; I'd be livid.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Fred Pete, wishing the best possible outcome for poor Max.

Steph, seriously, I'd be demanding to know what company those roofers worked for, and they'd be getting an irate call.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Steph, glad to hear they're at least (supposedly) going to fix it. But there shouldn't have been anything to fix in the first place. At least, not in your yard.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Teppy, we had our roof redone in Columbus. The roofers came by to take the shingles off, ripped them off, put on a tarp and promptly disappeared for three days. I called the company and the guy had no idea the crew stopped showing up. He had to call another crew to come over and finish the job.

We found out the company pretty much hired crews of undocumented workers to work on a daily basis--the work was fine--they cleaned up and everything but they just never came back to finish the job.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

When my parents' roof was redone they cut down a pussy willow tree thinking it was dead. (They do look pretty barren in the fall/winter.) Not sure if there was any monetary redress, but they reroofed the dog house as an apology.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So much ~ma to Max and his people.

And to Plei and her dad.

To meara's friend, her nephew and whole family... may there be justice, and may there be miracles of healing - of hearts if not of body. I just can't fathom....
