I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Buffista Island should have its own cinema industry. I think we need to invent the technology to turn dream footage into movies. Or should they just go straight to dvd?

Heh. My dreams last night were R-rated. Whee! They were happy. Except for the part at the end where I was going to miss a flight because I'd been making out with the cute girl.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Daisy Jane, that sounds like a GREAT headboard!

Taylor Guitars made a pallet guitar to try to prove to folks that the quality of their guitars was just as much from their craft as from the expensive tonewoods.

Sara, I've never heard of housecalls from a dentist, either. Score!

I have no idea whether any Buffistas are gardeners but I can't resist linking to the stuff I bought (on sale and with a gift certicate) today:

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I just reread Neil Gaiman's American Gods. It ended differently from the way I remember, as if the epilogue had magically rewritten itself.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I couldn't get those links to work, Spidra.

Rats! I hate dynamic links. I'm not sure how to get permalinks to the pages within Annie's site.

Actually, I'm having trouble getting through to their site right now while other sites are working for me.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I just reread Neil Gaiman's American Gods. It ended differently from the way I remember, as if the epilogue had magically rewritten itself.

Every time I read it (and I can't find my copy anywhere right now), I truly do forget until the end that Low-Key the cellmate is Loki. Durrrrrrrr.

I guess now I won't forget. Until the next time I pick up the book. Maybe the cover of the book causes my brain to erase that tiny tidbit of info.

I'm not glad Sox lost a temporary crown, but the information is useful because (I swear this happened) The Boy had a crown break tonight (I think he was eating lasagna or something equally not-crunchy). Not a temp crown, though; a permanent one. He inspected it, rinsed it off, wrapped it in a paper towel and said, "Go put this in your purse, will you?"

Me: "God, we are PURE CLASS."

So I come home and see that Sox lost a temp crown, and after reading the advice about denture adhesive, I'm wondering if that would work for him, too, even though it's a permanent crown, not a temp one.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I love that reveal so much. It's especially funny because I was e-mailing and texting a friend of mine while reading the book, and partway through the book, I commented that I was just waiting for Loki to show up.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Beverly, I'll definitely try the sock thing. I have washable (soft) wrist braces, but if I didn't, the brace liner is a grand idea too. Any more useful household tips I should know about, Bitches? You appear to have the best ideas.

The house looks fab, Erin!

I've never actually read any Gaiman. I know this is something I should rectify. Being dyslexic, books take me forever even though I'm a big fan of reading. Still haven't read all of Pratchett's. Really must.
