You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Maria! I've missed you.

ME TOO

When are you coming to visit us?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

You know, I think everyone should keep a Ginger and Perkins around for ego boosting. IJS. I've missed you guys too.

Perkins, before the end of the year, but unfortunately not for your birthday shindig. That potential scheduling conflict with DH is now most definitely a conflict. Once you have a better idea of your schedule, let me know. I don't want to come out when folks are otherwise occupied.

Our wings are not tired.

I WANT MFN VISIT.

I am working. Again. And kind of got snotty with the boyfriend and said something about well at least I've got something to do on Saturday nights. This is not a knock on my friends, but I am really, really missing dates. I frakking am sick of my own company, but I'm not really seeking out the company of friends, either. I have tons of friends and could go out every damned night, that's not the issue. The issue is I want DATES. Damn it.

So.

Back to work. I am almost done with this meeting package (you create a "Meeting Package" when you have a big meeting with FDA). Our meeting is in [redacted, forgot this place was public], so this gets sent tomorrow in email. Then on Tuesday in an eCTD submission (P-C and Meara will understand my gobbeldygook), then 40 tabbed (each volume has 100+ tabs) hardcopies get shipped on Friday. Almost done!

Will do. I may not know for a month or so, but with any luck, once we get past September, I'll be able to make plans.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Much, much ~ma to P-C, amyth's brother, Trudy's brother and the NoiseDesigns. May order restore at your lives soon, without anymore health and nonsense issues.

Pretty bathroom, Aims!

Cats cause pain And make a mess.

But they're oh. so. pretty!

And, once more, with feeling:

Shir, I find this kind of sweeping generalization absolutely infuriating. Part of my job involves sales, therefore I am a salesperson. I am sure as hell not dishonest, and neither are the people I work with. Are their dishonest salespeople? Yes. Any more than in the general population? I don't know, but I'll be more than happy to track down statistics if need be. Clarification and qualification are never bad things.

You're right, and I apologize. It was bad wording at my end. If I could turn back time and remove the words "suspicious" and "dishonest" from my original post(s), I would. Because I understand it was bad and hurting, which is two things I never meant for, and also because it seems like it distracts the people here so much from the meaning of what I wrote, that I feel as if this discussion was redundant to begin with.

Right now, I'm sorry I ever wrote here anything wrt my thoughts on the subject of "experience" and "reality" (though I'd like to point that I never, ever wrote anything about "facts" in this scheme, because everything is a "fact"). Obviously my ideas need other words for, and until I'll find them, I won't post about them here.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Talked to B in KC... crush still unabated.

You should come here and visit your crush. And me. I will TOTALLY enable you!

Also, Drew, feel better! I am glad you have the pretty drippy painkillers now, and hope that they fix all the things. And soon.

Went to a casino tonight (friend turned 40 and he likes to play poker.) I never go; it is SO WEIRD to me. And walking the floor almost sent me into a fit. TOO MUCH SHINY SPINNY NOISY LIGHTS.

I could NOT go to Vegas.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Date guy, upon realizing that my night working schedule means that i am usually eating breakfast at 7pm, thoughtfully offered up that it's getting rather cold for ice cream and how about i pick a place for coffee/snack/dessert instead. He wins! I mentioned that Pambiche is awesome and we met there - i had a marvelous breakfast of deliciumus cuban food and the best mocha ever and he had a slice of cake (haven eaten dinner much earlier). Poor guy, turns out he's a total meat and potatoes kinda guy and extremely non-adventurous about food (hence the focus on places like cold stone and ihop). I think he was afraid of the menu. But i sure appreciated him totally giving in to my whim without me having to even ask! Prospect positive.

eta: did i mentioned that i'm high-maintence about food? Yeah, i totally am.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, I love Pambiche but I've only done breakfast there. Oh, and some of the best baked goods.

But what on earth can you eat there? I swear everything is made with bacon sofrito. Or it's that everything I order is. Could be that...

Mmm, Pambiche.

Also, yay, date guy!
