[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Talked to B in KC... crush still unabated.

You should come here and visit your crush. And me. I will TOTALLY enable you!

Also, Drew, feel better! I am glad you have the pretty drippy painkillers now, and hope that they fix all the things. And soon.

Went to a casino tonight (friend turned 40 and he likes to play poker.) I never go; it is SO WEIRD to me. And walking the floor almost sent me into a fit. TOO MUCH SHINY SPINNY NOISY LIGHTS.

I could NOT go to Vegas.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Date guy, upon realizing that my night working schedule means that i am usually eating breakfast at 7pm, thoughtfully offered up that it's getting rather cold for ice cream and how about i pick a place for coffee/snack/dessert instead. He wins! I mentioned that Pambiche is awesome and we met there - i had a marvelous breakfast of deliciumus cuban food and the best mocha ever and he had a slice of cake (haven eaten dinner much earlier). Poor guy, turns out he's a total meat and potatoes kinda guy and extremely non-adventurous about food (hence the focus on places like cold stone and ihop). I think he was afraid of the menu. But i sure appreciated him totally giving in to my whim without me having to even ask! Prospect positive.

eta: did i mentioned that i'm high-maintence about food? Yeah, i totally am.

Glad you had a good date, erin.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, I love Pambiche but I've only done breakfast there. Oh, and some of the best baked goods.

But what on earth can you eat there? I swear everything is made with bacon sofrito. Or it's that everything I order is. Could be that...

Mmm, Pambiche.

Also, yay, date guy!

Oh, wow, further perusal of their menu means I have to drag my Pambiche breakfast person there for lunch. And, hey, veggie food too. That looks amazing.

the vegan options are limited to sides, appetizers, and one plate w/ beans, rice, yucca...but most of the appetizers can be easily made into yummy meals...if cheese is ok then there are a couple of empanadas that are pretty tasty. I miss living down the street from that place!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry you don't feel like you can talk about what you think here, Shir.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Was it here or on Facebook that this - [link] chocolate milk being better for you after a strenuous workout than sports drinks - was discussed? Because I just woke up from a dream in which I was trying to make sure that P-C, his sibs, and his parents all had a glass of chocolate milk after that last knock-down drag-out.

Hi, Maria! It's wonderful news about your mom's eye! Thanks, cuz I need good news.

Not without hurting people I care about. But hey, that's why I have a blog for. I can practice my wording and theories about Life as I See It there. This thread is for public discussion, and I accept it.

re: PC and PC's Mom

I was taken by her remark about white people not attending Indian events. What is supposed to be the largest Krishna temple in America is not far from me, and the big Mormon school (Brigham Young University) has discovered how fun the festivals are, especially the one where they throw the dye powders around. Of course, the kids aren't there for anything religious, and the temple is kind of dismayed they treat the place like an amusement park and not a place of worship. So the whole thing may not be a good example of "white people appreciating Indian culture" and more of a "See? Evil white devil people don't mix well." So never mind.

But it is fun to see all the multi-colored white kids heading home with pink and blue and green and purple etc. splotches all over themselves.
