sorry hon! Are you dehydrated? I know that being dehydrated can exacerbate cramping pain.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I've been drinking water all day, but you have a good point, Vortex. Plus it's hot and I always need more water when it's hot.
My body just does this to me every couple months. I try to be grateful it no longer does it every month.
Burrell, have something with some salt or electrolytes. Hell, just add some lemon or lime to your water or eat a few potato chips. A tiny bit of extra salt sometimes helps me with cramps.
Sorry to hear it burrell.
all this halloween costume talk makes me think of the movie _Mean Girls_ when all the HS girls use Halloween as an excuse to dress as tramps and the newbie transfer actually dresses up in a kinda awesome costume and feels like an idiot. Painfully true. Those costume sites make me angry because they are sending a clear message that there is no reason to dress up other than to look slutty which is all kinds of wrong in my mind in a way i cannot articulate clearly. More of a hulk smash sort of thought than reasonable words. I'm glad that others have those words.
Plus, all those high heels? Miserable for trick or treating. Tho i guess kids don't really walk around neighborhoods anymore much.
thanks everyone. I decided to go with Naproxen and it's helping. Oy. Bedtime.
Tho i guess kids don't really walk around neighborhoods anymore much.
They do in San Francisco.
that's reassuring. I had a few groups of trick or treaters at my place last year but i keep hearing stories about parents being afraid to let their kids go door to door. *sigh* why bother with terrifying decorations if there's no one to scare?
Thinking about it, it's worth noting that kids still trick or treat door to door in SF because certain neighborhoods go all out to make an environment conducive to that. There's total neighborhood by-in and everybody is not only home, but on their front stoop, and in costume and everything is decorated, and it's all densely packed so you can really get a lot of candy in a three block tour.
That's in my local neighborhood, but also in megan walker's old neighborhood which runs a cool Harry Potter theme for Halloween every year for the last 10 years.
Re: Halloween costumes....
I remember a few years back working late into the night in Beverly Hills, just before Halloween. It was me, my friend Mark and my friend Cricket. We were taking our "dinner" break at about 2am at the Mel's Diner on Sunset. We saw a bunch of LA trashy looking women with their boyfriends or whatever, and they were all wearing "costumes" so revealing they kind felt like you were watching a porn shoot.
I remember thinking how vastly more attractive Cricket was, all bundled up for working outside at night, than those women in their ultra-revealing "sexy" "costumes".
