Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Oops. I've become a craigslist flake. I was supposed to pick up an end table this afternoon, but I took a nap instead.

OK, I put new pics up, and removed the ones with other women. But I left the one of me and my sister at her wedding. It's labeled as such.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Hahaha! You gotta laugh at the OK Cupid users who write tests. One wrote a result that says "Amature Porn" and another one wrote a result "Eurkea!"

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

LOVE the bathroom, Empress! Purty towels.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Dear Coworker,

Were you really suggesting I clock out and then continue to finish writing up a complicated event which happened half an hour before my shift ended while you were not there? Because, no. Just no. Or, I dunno, maybe you were trying to say that I should have left the mess for you in favor of sitting on my ass writing while the flood in the bathroom dripped down into the basement? Because, nuh uh. I may be wrong here, but any event which results in that kind of mess, and also in me stripping off all my clothes to wash, and then jump in the shower the moment I get home, is the sort of thing that needs to be documented. If me doing my job of getting the mess cleaned up and then also writing it up means I end up clocking out ten minutes late, so be it. I don't have a problem with it. I don't have any fear of having that conversation with our supervisor. Why you would have a fear of me having that conversation, I'm not entirely sure. My overtime ain't your lookout.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Heck-of-a-Job Brownie just told NBC News that his failure during Katrina was "failing to put things in context." I think I just sprained something from rage.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

In the context of what, evil?

I just said to my cat: "You don't need me to run water in the sink for you so you can play Lion at the Watering Hole! Just drink from the glass like a regular animal!"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's good to hear your sister was trying to be a moderator. I sense that means she's more likely to see the writing on the wall, and sympathizes with her brothers.

She just wrote on my Facebook Wall, "So that phone call last night was just so awesome, right?"

While I feel very sad for the way that P-C and BroCow are being treated, I can understand how his parents aren't happy. They are dream children for parents in an purely American culture, yes. And that is absolutely where they chose to raise their kids. But clearly their Indian culture is still very strong and very important to them. And these kids? Are not following those rules.

I just think it's a complicated situation. While fully supporting their right to find mates of their own, I see where this is inevitably going to lead to extreme and possibly unworkable conflict.

I agree with you. I wish we could get them to see that marrying a non-Indian woman != entirely rejecting Indian culture, but that's how they see it.

Pix and ND, I'm glad they have a diagnosis, and I hope that treating said diagnosis resolves all issues.
