Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was at the Magic Fountain, which was supercool. In retrospect, the person who violently bumped into me was probably the culprit. And I had even reminded myself that THAT was the sign I had been pickpocketed, but I was so into the fountain that I didn't remember.

This morning, remembering a tip I'd read, I did take my check card out of my wallet, so I still have some plastic and a way of getting more money if I need it. Besides my credit card, of course, I lost 50 Euros and 20 dollars (plus a $2 bill for luck). And my spare house key. And my driver's license. And my old student IDs. And my health insurance card. And my blood donor card. And all my receipts and ticket stubs from the trip. And my hotel key from Budapest. I really wish I'd followed my instinct to remove my Budapest memorabilia this morning. It's the loss of those things and my student IDs that saddens me more than the money.

I'm really, really glad I took out most of my regular wallet inhabitants and left them at home, leaving only the essentials.

Instead of going to see Goldfrapp for free, I filed a police report and canceled my credit card. I was having a really good time today, too. Now I want to stay in my hotel room the whole time.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Man, this sucks. I'm at the nursing home with my grandma (my sister and now my mom are also here) She's just... slipping away, and she's having hallucinations and moaning in pain and slipping in and out of consciousness.

This is *rough*. I just want her to find some peace and it's just so hard watching her struggle like this.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

P-C, maybe they'll find the wallet with just the cash and cards taken. You might get your memorabilia back...

Nora, I'm sorry. That's so hard.

But it's so much FUN...

Heh. It is.

edit to remove sneaky comma.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

P-C, I understand. I nearly had my day bag stolen 3 times in 2 days in Madrid, and just the continued near misses had me bee-lining to McDonald's for comfort food.

Nora, I am so sorry. Peace to her and to you and your family.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So sorry, Nora. My brother's mother-in-law is going through this right now. She is staying with them in their house. They are happy to have her there to care for but, man, the toll it takes on those who have to watch the struggle is huge.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh Nora, I'm so sorry.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Nora. I hope she finds peace soon.

P-C, I'm sorry you got pickpocketed. That happened to me on my last day in Denmark and it was hard to last the last 8 hours or so 'til the flight with no money whatsoever. I'm glad you thought to take the check card out.

ita, it seems it's another brand of nun than the kind we had.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it seems it's another brand of nun than the kind we had.

Now that I pause and think--hello, we went to school in London. So, different.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Thoughts for your family, Nora.

P-C, sorry to hear about the theft. That's so frustrating. My Girl got her bag stolen, complete with two passports, this summer. Such an inconvenience, quite apart from the cost. I hope they find yours.

“Not dead yet!”

Thoughts for you and yours, Nora.
