I love driving. It was the first taste of freedom, since I wasn't so good at the bike thing. Even as a kid, I would pretend to drive in the backseat or passenger seat. Fake steering wheel, gas pedal. Love it. That said, Boston sucked. Granted, I was there pre-GPS days, at the start of Big Dig, and nothing was labeled, and I had no clue where I was going. But the drivers were worse then NYers. DC just messed with my head, being radial instead of grid. LA/OC is fine. Better with GPS. Just slow. And once you learn to stay in the middle lane, or else end up on another freeway, you are fine. As a pedestrian I hated Baltimore. You had to count to 5 before crossing the street. People BLEW through red lights at warp speed. Very not safe. Didn't like that.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Still better than the U.S. (barely) at a fraction of the cost. Not that lots are not better. Including France.
Including France.
Oh sure, they're better in medical statistics, but they are WAY behind in insurance company profits.
All pray to the Holy Dollar.
Jilli, Goth Pundit. What does her Army of Darkness think about the midterms? Is there a pall, or would that just be another day at the office?
Ha! It would totally be another day at the office. But the health care would be MUCH FUCKING BETTER, THANKS.
... whooo, I am sugared up. My co-workers took me to lunch and bought me a brownie hot fudge sundae.
So I have three months to really work on my writing. Cue the nervous laughter.
Jilli, I'm working on a screenplay again, so if you want a motivational partner, I'm in.
Awww, look what the Creative Writing program at San Francisco's School of the Arts is doing for Halloween:
Do you remember those glossy, nylon, purple fishnet stockings? The skyscraper heels and overdone makeup? Do you remember what it feels like to hop to the beat of an illuminated 70's glam rock soundtrack (think Iggy Pop, the New York Dolls, David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust) beneath splattering neon light while listening to SOTA Cdub mixed-genre pieces? Probably not--because it hasn't happened yet! Join CW on SOTA's mainstage Friday, October 16th, at 7:30 to bring back the sensational glam that lit up a decade and listen to some fantastic work from the entire department. Class of 2010 in their last Halloween performance! Original stories, poems, and indefinables, purloined Queen, GLAM/TRANS-GLAM COSTUME CONTEST, skits, seizure-inducing lights, and more! Students $7, $10 for those who remember the bad old days of eyeliner and platforms.
Jilli, I'm working on a screenplay again, so if you want a motivational partner, I'm in.
I may talk to you about this. We can be panicky, neurotic writing buddies! It will be AWESOME.
YAY!
Then he upgraded to stabbing people in Venice.
Aw, he really IS a teenager!
