Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Um, I'm all for "storming the castle" but certainly not expecting it on the first date. But hey, stranger things have happened. And yes, still waiting to hear final answer about Friday night from cute co-worker with awesome smile.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

See, I would guess that Em was just making up a word, going through the alphabet. I can't imagine she's ever heard anyone actually using the word.

but yes, as a parent, still embarassing

Dylan frequently "makes up" embarrassing words when he's on a rhyming kick. We try not to draw attention to them.

Rhyme schemes are practically the only excuse for some words anymore, but it's an iffy subject.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Here's a laugh: I was out with a colleague from a different department with whom I collaborate frequently. I mention my birthday and currently age, and he goes on and on about how I'm so energetic and positive, and one of his coworkers was asking him if he'd ever seen me mad or depressed b/c I'm always so friendly and happy.

After I stopped laughing, I said, "That reminds me, I need to take my antidepressants" and I popped my pills right there.

I raised my eyebrows about the kid that came up with "crap."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hey teachers - you give an assignment to post something "by Wednesday". Does that mean by end of day Wednesday or by end of day Tuesday?

Barring a specific stated time, or general rule stated elsewhere, my presumption on such an instruction is that it means some time on Wednesday. Posting it by midnight is bending the rules a little. Posting by midnight of you're on the west coast and you're postin it for someone on the east coast is totally cheating, excpt there's nothing to say it is so Nyah.

not your mom's socks.

today's DIY project: 10-pocket roll-up knitting needle holder in black with asian print accent. No pattern, 45 minutes.

prediction: If I don't have a lock on a major project soon, I will likely quilt the house.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

As a teacher, if it's marked midnight on Wednesday, it would be on time.

So I got to sleep about 1:30 am last night, and woke up when Dan's alarm went off at 4:30 am. And try as I might, I couldn't get back to sleep. I got up, ate a few crackers, tried to get back to sleep, but finally got up at 7:45.

I'm tired, but I figure this is just part of the getting back on track that I need to do. I've gotten a lot done today so far, and will get yet more done.

I'll def need another shower tonight though, and I took one last evening late. Cleaning is grotty! But I am well on the way to a very organized closet! I have found quite a few pieces of clothing I forgot I had!

I come at it from a litigation and not a teaching view. If it went out in Wednesday's mail, it would be on time.

Which once caused me to be part of a wild ride through downtown DC around 8:30 p.m. one night to get to a FedEx collection point before it closed for the night. Because the nearer collection points had closed.
