Yay, askye!
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Whoot, askye! Here's to hoping they decide to keep you around long term.
askye, YAY!!! I'm so pleased, and I hope you love it AND it turns into a long-term gig!
Jilli, insent! Whee!
Ugh, friend drama. I hope it works itself out positively soon.
Happy book day, Amy!
Hope the dinner is tasty and not too painful, erika.
::throws big sparkly blanket over Jilli:: No Jilli here, nosirreebob.
askye, that's terrific news. I hope it turns into a longterm gig.
Ugh, friend drama. I hope it works itself out positively soon.
It's ... not going to. At all. Right now I'm going to stick my head in the sand and do my best to ignore it.
Happy Book Day, AMY!!
Much much recovery ~~ma for Daniel and sane~~ma for Andi. And lots of love thrown in for spice.

Darlingest Daughter -
In fact, that is not your vagina that we saw when you accidentally pulled off your underwear when you pulled off your pants.
Furthermore, singing "Vagina, bajango, va-jay-jay!" is making your father's face turn red with equal parts embarassment and holding in the laughter.
All my love -
Mommy
I has a glass of wine. A much needed glass of wine. Today was our first day actually doing salvage.
The good: No one hurt themselves, I didn't hit anything with the truck or trailer (MIRACLE), and we got some good practice salvaging materials.
The not-so-good: We didn't have some key things we needed (like disposable respirators, bad supervisor - bought some at lunch), and I got in trouble for bringing two feral kittens into the warehouse. There's backstory on the latter - there's a "warehouse cat" who needs a home, and it's turned into a feud between the warehouse supervisor and store manager (who just wants the damn thing gone). It's an insurance issue, and also Bubbles won't use a litter box, so that's a problem. But I didn't bring them in there to live there, just to stay for the day. Whatever. I stand by my actions. Ignoring a feral cat is not a good plan, and letting a kitten die is more than I can stand. I got lectured by my boss' boss, though. My supervisor is on vacation, so I emailed him about the whole thing; I figure he should at least maybe hear it from me.
The headdesk-worthy, had I a desk: We wasted a lot of time today. Like, a lot. I decided I wasn't going to stress about it, that it was growing pains. But then... we were trying to slide a cast-iron tub along a carpet and managed to scratch the shit out of it, to the point that I'm not sure it's worth salvaging. At that point I had to go have half a cigarette, though I hadn't smoked in three days. Ah well.
I just needed to get that out. Thanks.
Overall, it wasn't a bad day. I'm lucky to have a couple of people on my crew who have a clue or two about construction.
Fall down go boom now, after showertimes.

smonster, sounds like you had A Day. I saw Steve from Housing today, and he said he missed you. So, you know, that guy who loves Reagan misses you! Have that with your wine!
(I miss you too.)
smonster, that sounds like a long, stressful day. I hope the wine and a good night's sleep helps.
I hope dinner goes (or has gone) as well as possible, erika.
Happy book day, Amy!
Sorry you got in trouble over the kittens, smonster, but go you for helping to rescue them!
Work has suddenly gotten busy for me, which is nice. The busier I can look during the lead up to yearly evaluations, the better.
