smonster, that sounds like a long, stressful day. I hope the wine and a good night's sleep helps.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I hope dinner goes (or has gone) as well as possible, erika.
Happy book day, Amy!
Sorry you got in trouble over the kittens, smonster, but go you for helping to rescue them!
Work has suddenly gotten busy for me, which is nice. The busier I can look during the lead up to yearly evaluations, the better.
Continuing ~ma to Daniel, hope-it-goes-well ~ma to erika, kitty hero cred to smonster, YaY askye for the potential awesome jobness of the temp gig.
Assorted ~ma to all else who need it.
I made an interesting, random and validating connection this week. I've been checking around to order balloons and helium for a gig I'm doing with my new biz partner over the weekend. It's been decades since I did the Superbowl and other enormous jobs and I like to do the occasional sculpture, so this will be fun for me.
I ran into someone who knew my last balloon boss. The BB is one of two people I hold a grudge against. Given my life, this is saying something.
The new contact was hugely validating, having had a very similar experience with someone who is just, plain an enormous douche.
That felt better than it should.
Oh, smonster. That's a hard day. Wine is a good thing.
Thanks so much for all your good wishes, everyone! It really means a lot to me.
t /Sally Field!
Furthermore, singing "Vagina, bajango, va-jay-jay!" is making your father's face turn red with equal parts embarassment and holding in the laughter.
This may be my new mantra. Any particular tune? :)
"Vagina, bajango, va-jay-jay!"
Love. It.
I saw Steve from Housing today, and he said he missed you.
Awww, you know I have the warm and fuzzies for him, despite his wacky Reagan obsession. Tell him I said hi, the next time you see him. On this end, did you ever work with a Danielle from I for the E? She also works for my current org.
I keep replaying it in my head, and I can't imagine walking away from them. Ignoring feral cats and having them live in the warehouse are not the only options here. I'm researching rescue and TNR nonprofits.
On glass two now. Three? IDK, I kind of refilled before I was empty. Am also eating a praline I bought off a lady at a poboy shop near where we're working. And my roommate just made chocolate pudding cookies and they are NOM.
That felt better than it should.
Been there, reveled in it.
StW is taking me out to dinner tomorrow, where is a surprise. Yay!8iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii67- (that last bit is the contribution of one of my roommate's kittens)
Kitty shares your joy!
Been there, reveled in it.
Heh.
~ ma your way Hayden.
Danielle
Totally! Tell her I say hi. She may not remember me. I was on that environmental outreach committee with her and her boss and Brian and Cindy and a bunch of other people. I think that was the only time we interacted, really.
Ugh erika, hope the birthday dinner goes better than you seem to anticipate. Or at least ends in cake!
and ugh to Jilli. I hates friend drama. I'm in the middle of a bit of it right now as well, but I'm hoping to deflect as much as possible. At least one friend is trying her best to keep me out of it. The other? NSM.
