Oh, and I may be hiding out in here for a bit. There is some HUGE drama going down between a friend of mine and another friend that I used to be really close to, but have since drifted apart from. It's turning really, really ugly, and I am trying to avoid being caught in the middle.

Thrive to spite them
I got the gig. I wasn't dressed up but I was the most dressed up person there. The woman who interviewed me was in jeans, a t shirt, and sneakers.
The gig is also a little different than the temp agency thought. I will be there tomorrow and Thursday 12-5 and then Friday, Monday, Tuesday 8-5. But they aren't sure how much they'll need me after that the woman I interviewed with said it may be "on call". But this is the first temp they've ever hired so maybe I'll make myself useful. The only reason they need one now is their receptionist is on vacation and her boss is going on a business trip so they brought me in.
But the receptionist is going on maternity leave at some point so they may need me then.
It looks like a really good place to work so I'm glad to at least temp there and get in the door.
They have a "wellness" staff that's just there for the wellness of the employees. They have a gym. With an indoor tennis court. And regular fitness classes throughout the day. Plus a New Mother's Room, Bike Closet, Coat Closet.
