I just spent an hour or two paying bills and budgeting. Painful but necessary. Gonna take a while to dig myself out of this hole I got into with unemployment and moving, following years of irresponsible spending. Ah well.

I'm a lot less worried now than I was when they first told us they were admitting him. On friday they gave him two IV AB's. On Saturday, only the one IM injection. Today he has received one IM, and three by IV. I think that the one given on Saturday was less effective by itself than the two on Friday - which is why there was an improvement after that, but then it got worse after the Saturday treatment. By the time I left tonight, I saw some noticeable reduction in the inflammation on his leg. So I'm feeling a bit better able to concentrate on being optimistic.
Well, you'd have to dig yourself out of the hole anyway, and you're doing it in your dream city at a job that seems to be pretty kick ass so far!
I hope that takes the sting out of it, somewhat.
