Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I don't get why it would be weird or unacceptable for me to go off on someone who cut me off in traffic. I'd expect to get cursed out if I did it--it's angering. That's what angry people do. Not chased in traffic, like I have been, but spouted about on a message board? Seems perfectly proportionate response.

To me?

You getting pissed at someone cutting you off in traffic? Perfectly proportionate response. You posting that you are pissed because someone cut you off in traffic? Perfectly proportionate response. Other people replying that they also get pissed when they've been cut off in traffic? Perfectly proportionate response.

Other people replying that the person who cut you off in traffic should have intense anal itching, try to scratch while driving and then die by being cut off in traffic? Creepy to me. Chased-in-traffic levels of not okay to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

When has that ever happened here, though?

Always Anti-fascist!

Depends on the intensity, and whether, say, the same dude has done it every day for a week or something. I hate random strangers sometimes...doesn't mean I would hurt them for real.

Er, a head in a champagne glass? What? Never heard of this.

Someone remind me what "FPC" stands for??

Fucking Perspective Clause. It means you get to bitch too, even though your average Rwandan has it worse.

Actually it's rather common. Which I notice because it clearly is my Issue and it bugs me.

But I feel like it'd be kinda crass of me to go back and cite? I am not adverse to mentioning it again when it happens though.

I'd like to see it called out. Because I seriously can't remember anything more than comiserating venting. I mean, Aims calls minor poxes on people all the time, but the point is they're minor poxes. Death and trials and tribulations? Common? I'm startled.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

erika, do you mean something like this? link

When has that ever happened here, though?

I will at least back up Cass that it does happen, and I feel it is kind of creepy.. I'm not sure if I would say it was common though. And now I'm trying to think if I've ever been guilty of it.

sj wins at google! I probably have done it, but I probably didn't mean it as seriously as it would sound to somebody less dark-humored than myself.

Me, as well.

I'm the least woo-woo person in the world, and even I sometimes feel like, even if the intention is support for a friend (which is great!), that's a lot of bad energy being put out there.

I've also seen it in political discussions in Natter.
