I really do like my new doctor, but I am a little annoyed to have to make an appointment and pay a co-pay for a uti. Just let me pee in a cup and call in a perscription please.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
sj I hate paying for co pays for UTIs. I hope you don't have one.
I had an appointment this morning with my new urologist. She was nice and impressed with my old urologist for diagnosing me with Interstitial Cystitis (painful bladder syndrome) without requiring a bunch of useless tests.
She's pretty sure the problems I'm having are an IC flare up so she suggested I go back on the IC Elimination diet and try Aloe Vera supplements. And she said I if I have a flare with pain to call her ASAP and if it is a flare up and not a UTI she'll start me on narcotics right away. Which is nice, but she said it's practical . Pain is stressful, stress makes a flare up worse, and so she'd rather start me on pain meds when I'm in a little bit of pain rather than wait until I can't stand it.

Yeah, I hate that too.
Happy Birthday Nora!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!! Thank god, so far it is UTI free.
Happy Birthday, Nora!
How's your back?
Back is doing better, due to my carefully calibrated beer drinking and booty shaking regimen last night. It's a bit sore still, but more like stiff/tight muscle, not ouchy/spasm-y/searing pain. YAY.
I also started taking some Chinese herbal supplement for lower back health yesterday, maybe that figured into things? Probably not but I'm all about the magical thinking and placebo effect if it takes the pain away.
Happy happy birthday, dear Nora!!
Happy b-day Nora!
