Whoo, NOLAVERSARY!
ETA: he gets his stitches out Monday. We just hydrotherapy'd him just now, will do it once tomorrow, and maybe no more after that?? Or we might have to keep doing it as it heals. He don't like it AT ALL though.
Buffy ,'Showtime'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

NOLAVERSARY, yay!
Poor Taz. But it's really for his own good. Just sucks to have hydrotherapy when you are a regular water-hatin' cat.
I need to write a note to my downstairs neighbors who SLAM their door(s) and I have no tact because I keep thinking they will stop being so rude. And they don't. So I need to say something. Preferably, in a nice tone. What do I say? I am upstairs and am assuming they don't realize how much sound travels since I take off my shoes, walk quietly and always make sure doors close quietly. What do I say?
Frankie! Be well!
Yay, NOLAversary!
Aw, poor Taz!
My posts keep disappearing. I'm paranoid that they will reappear later, and there will be odd double posts. OH WELL.
Went to skating, which went well. I was worried, because it has been so damn busy at work that I couldn't practice this week, but I seem to have remembered what I need to. Then I got my hair cut and colored and no longer feel like Madame Frump of Unkemptistan.
NOLA, NO-NO-NO-NO-NOLA
NOOOOOOOLAAAAAAA
YAY smonster!
It's hailing here, and raining buckets.
Time to do some laundry and do a little steam-mopping. My ass is numb.
But I am rocking like a rocking thang on this res!
Yay for NOLAversary! Boo for poor wee Frankie at the vet. No plumbing problems, dear boy-- you worry your person!
The new hair: [link]
Lopped off something like eight inches. The stylist was actually nearly weeping and begged me to keep it long because in her words: "You've got one of the healthiest heads of long hair I've ever seen!" But I remained firm and told her to start snippin'.
This is going to save me at least an hour in prep time for competition and moreover, I really, really hated the way my hair looked pulled back and up. Now I just have to make sure I have it lacquered to within an inch of its life so it doesn't move. But it looks so SASSY during the Latin dances!
And you've got waves, so you can get finger waves done (you have to lacquer those bitches, anyway.)
DO NOT try to do finger-waves yourself the first time, if you're so inclined to try them; go to a stylist and take notes.
BTW, thanks for the rec! One of your chaptermates sent me a MS section for the free proof I'm giving away in Sept.
Looks fab, Barb!
Frankie has a UTI, so he's on antibiotics and pain pills and I'll have to follow up with a regular vet when he's done with the meds. And let's hope that's the end of it. We came home and had a nice nap - I guess neither of us slept well last night.
Pets and people need to stop getting sick.
Thank you all for the extra prayers and good thoughts. I'm struggling with my own faith right now, but I'm not ready to abandon it yet. We'll take everything that we can get.
