And I'm getting my hair cut, too! I think I'm going to lop off many, many inches and take it short. I'm so contrary-- most people cut their hair short for summer-- what am I doing? Cutting it as we're heading into fall.

I just got my hair cut too, and my hairdresser's lending me a suitcase for France. And noise-cancelling headphones, an eye mask, and a neck pillow. And we're starting a book club. We're going to read all of those books we read as pre-teens: Judy Blume books, Clan of the Cave Bear, The Burning Bed, etc. It's going to be AMAZING. I've been going to this hairdresser for, I don't know, 15-20 years? This is why.

We're at the emergency vet. Saw a drop of blood when he tried to pee. What is it with these pets and their wiener blockages?

Frankie weighs 38 lbs now. I hope at least a pound of that is urine, because otherwise he's gained 6 lbs since I got him (1.5 years ago). And almost 2 lbs since we moved here, which is crazy! I know he's getting more exercise than he did in NC.

Speaking of the move, it's my 3 months NOLAversary tonight!

ETA: he gets his stitches out Monday. We just hydrotherapy'd him just now, will do it once tomorrow, and maybe no more after that?? Or we might have to keep doing it as it heals. He don't like it AT ALL though.

I need to write a note to my downstairs neighbors who SLAM their door(s) and I have no tact because I keep thinking they will stop being so rude. And they don't. So I need to say something. Preferably, in a nice tone. What do I say? I am upstairs and am assuming they don't realize how much sound travels since I take off my shoes, walk quietly and always make sure doors close quietly. What do I say?
