[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Whoa. Drama indeed. Health ~ma to Aunt of Wallybee.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Gracious, billytea, what a mess.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Askye, Ina Garten has a good roast chicken recipe. Here is a video of the process and here's the recipe written out. You might want to add some potatoes cut into wedges to the vegetables underneath the chicken, and then you have a complete meal.

Sorry to hear about the family drama, BT.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Home for a little over an hour and my upstairs neighbor is throwing a huge tantrum. Can I go back to the beach now?

Thrive to spite them

Thanks Vortex! Oh it calls for fennel. I love fennel but don't have any but I can make a run to the store and get some.

I wonder if I could do sweet potato wedges instead of white potato. I have some I need to use up and I've had them with fennel and thyme before.

I'm probably going to have to lock Dean up in the bedroom while the chicken is resting and I'm trying to eat it. That cat is crazy for chicken and can't eat it and any time food shows up lately he acts like hasn't eaten in days and circles me like a shark.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Gracious, billytea, what a mess.

This is exactly what it is. I just don't even know. Wallybee's cousin is reportedly displaying no contrition for having created this utter clusterfrak either. (I would hope his mother landing in hospital revised his position somewhat.)

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. We've been telling Ryan that the bar for meeting our expectations of him just got a little easier to meet.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Vortex's recipe is a good one. My favorite is Thomas Keller's recipe:

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aims if there is a Borders in your area

I live in (near)Ann Arbor. Where Borders started. It's safe to say we have a few. Them closing has been a huge thing here since their corporate headquarters are here. Half my friends used to work for them.

Which is to say, good call!! I'll totally go check them out.

giraffe mode

bt, good grief! What an epic mess, poor Wallybee's parents and aunt and uncle.

York

sj, we were there this summer and while it's cool to see, it is a TON of walking. I was exhausted after walking from the far away parking, up to Clifford's Tower, then over to the Shambles, then to York Minster. I've was so glad we got to sit and wait for the tour at York Minster.

Also, Nice job on the travel savings!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Bt, that's hysterically awful. The poor parents! And his poor wife. At least she gets to divorce the rat; his parents are stuck with him.
