I have a Crock Pot brand slow cooker and I really like it. But I got a really big one and it doesn't work for smaller recipes.

I haven't seen it, but I'd heard about it. I understand it was in response to being stuck on the tarmac and not allowed to use the toilet. To quote Cold Comfort Farm, "understandable, if deplorable".

Hey y'all I skipped ahead to tell you there are always at least two crock pots sitting on the shelf of every resale shop I have ever been in. Even if the pot doesn't work you can probably find one with a lid that fits yours and scrap the rest.
