Thanks, flea. I'm sorry to hear that the evil Tino is someone you actually have to deal with.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
So. Remember that new slow cooker I bought? I was all excited to make Steph's lasagna recipe tomorrow to christen it... except when I pulled it out it was in the box sideways and the lid fell and shattered all over the floor. And crockpot doesn't make replacement parts. Grr. I cleaned the floor but can tell there's a glass splinter in my foot. This is me, not at all happy. ::sigh::
I passed someone in the dog park tonight, talking on his cellphone.
"It's a total bitch that we have to meet in Tino's office."
I thought of y'all.
There's more than one Tino? Who'da thunk it.
Ugh smonster, that's a dud. Are you sure about the no replacement parts? I need a new lid for mine too.
I think I'm going to need a whole new crockpot. But I am fairly certain it was really low cost to start with and I've had it over a decade. Some really delicious slow-cooked pork has come from it and I am content that I eventually do need to buy a new cooker.
Oh, hey, recs? What do people love?
Crazy expensive, but soooo worth it-- it is my One True Slow-Cooker.
I love that you can use the insert directly on the stovetop to brown stuff, then just transfer it over to the main unit and set it to go.

Okay, that's kind of awesome. Because I tend to skip any slow cooker recipe that tells me to brown a lot of ingredients.
Spendy, but it looks awesome. Possible Xmas item. Really, I use my slow cooker a lot and would love to have one that I could brown with and then set aside. And it's pretty!

Exactly.
