[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Kitty~ma to Nora and Burrell. I hope they are both back home with you soon.

Yay, Kato!

I went to the Career Fair for ABC company today (large corporation). I'm taking it as a good sign that they sent me directly to the VP who would be my boss, then had me talk to another VP, who then had the Senior VP of HR join us for the last half of the conversation. In total, I was talking with/to them for 2 hours. At the end, they walked me out to my car.

One of the questions was why did I come to the career fair instead of submitting my resume online, since it's quite rare for an executive position. My reply? I knew it would get me noticed, and it's an example of how I can be unorthodox while working within the system to achieve my desired result. My personal BS meter almost redlined, but they loved it.

Keep your fingers crossed. This is a phenomenal opportunity.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Go BS!! Errm, go Maria!!

And this is just one of the many, many reasons I love Maria.

Thanks, amych! All of that is really a good sign, right? That doesn't normally happen on what's basically a cold call.

Can you tell I really don't want to take the other job with another company that's on the table?

edit: And I love you, mi hermana. I'm so glad N and A arrived without incident.

Maria, that's awesome! (And I may borrow that answer if a similar question comes up when I go to a career fair next week.)

Borrow away. I will take my royalty payments in hugs and cupcakes when I get to Seattle.

Whoo! And I hope that you get to visit soon.

ION, I exercised today, for the first time in a while. 30 minutes of brisk walking around the house and backyard. The Antibiotic Cellular Death Explosion (TM the Infamous BlueJay) did not like that. But I need to keep at it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maria, that's great! Your BS-fu is strong!

Poor Taz! May he come home soon, all better.

When Kato is famous, you'll have the Flaming Hell-Doggie photo to blackmail him with.

Argh. I believe I'm about to break down and make an appointment with a doctor. Maybe several doctors. It's not normal to be tired and listless all the time and in pain most of the time, even if I am a middle-aged peri-menopausal woman, is it? Oh, hell, I did this before, and got nowhere; I barely have the will to start over again with another succession of doctors, who are all almost certainly going to tell me I just need to lose weight. As if I hadn't noticed.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Go team Maria BS!

I'm sorry, Zenkitty. I'm not sure most doctors even listen to middle-aged women who need to lose weight.
