Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We had a presentation today about all the neat new tech features that go along with the new textbook we're using. The answer to every "Does that work on an iPad?" question was, "We're working on it. It will, eventually."

Nope. It looks interesting, though.

It mocks things like a culture of excellence.

eta: Whenever they have a meeting and are asked to contribute their ideas for something like promoting a culture of excellence, one character always answers: "1.Optimize potential. 2.Facilitate empowerment 3. Implement visioning 4.Strategize priorities 5. Augment core structures."

Kitty~ma to Nora and Burrell. I hope they are both back home with you soon.

Yay, Kato!

I went to the Career Fair for ABC company today (large corporation). I'm taking it as a good sign that they sent me directly to the VP who would be my boss, then had me talk to another VP, who then had the Senior VP of HR join us for the last half of the conversation. In total, I was talking with/to them for 2 hours. At the end, they walked me out to my car.

One of the questions was why did I come to the career fair instead of submitting my resume online, since it's quite rare for an executive position. My reply? I knew it would get me noticed, and it's an example of how I can be unorthodox while working within the system to achieve my desired result. My personal BS meter almost redlined, but they loved it.

Keep your fingers crossed. This is a phenomenal opportunity.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Go BS!! Errm, go Maria!!

And this is just one of the many, many reasons I love Maria.

Thanks, amych! All of that is really a good sign, right? That doesn't normally happen on what's basically a cold call.

Can you tell I really don't want to take the other job with another company that's on the table?

edit: And I love you, mi hermana. I'm so glad N and A arrived without incident.
