A bit behind, but the "quiver" on OkCupid is just their cutesy way of saying "matches". As in, Cupid's Quiver. 3 at a time.

My opinions of the online dating sites i've used, in order of $$$:

Eharmony: geared towards finding your next spouse. Ideally a Good Christian one with whom you plan to have lots of babies. It's very heavily slanted towards conservative religious folks.

Match.com: also geared towards long term relationships/marriage. More open to a wider variety of religious and political idealogies. Seemed like more than 80% of the profiles were inactive...people do the free weekends or a month or so then give up/walk away/stop paying but their profiles don't mention activity.

OkCupid: free, so lots of variety for every possible type of relationship you might be looking for. Also lots more skeevy skeeves (but very easy to avoid once you answer lots of questions.) I've been seeing LOTS of profiles for 30/40 something guys looking for long term.

TheOnion.com dating (yes, they have a dating site): free, and mostly unemployed writers.

Tim, though built on a lean frame, doesn't strike me as feminine in any way. (Those are good arms to have.) And when he crossdresses, I wouldn't call him "feminine," necessarily, which is an odd thing to say. (He's already left for work, so I can't link any pictures without asking him.)

It was partly because it came out like I was calling crossdressing, in general, weird. I explained my full train of thought, of course, but that didn't help a whole lot.

It's cool, we're fine now, but I have to remember that whenever I think I am Awesome Ally Girlfriend, I can still completely fail hard.

Does he wear makeup, etc? I guess, for me, the rush is that I can look at those pictures without seeing crossdressing (which I do also quite like). I see a cool as hell expansion of men's clothing. So I imagine half of that shit under jeans and a button-down, and I'm delighted as all get out.

I guess I was in a mood yesterday. I reached out to one slightly outre cousin to ask her if she knew where I could find stuff like a guy in dreads and women's underwear, and she was all "ita? You have kinks?"

Right. I forgot who I was to her.

I also ended up reaching out (though not mentioning this) to my childhood friend that everyone's waiting to come out some sort of genderqueer or something, but he keeps insisting he's straight, and the high school friend who teaches tantric sex. It was just one of those nights.

I haven't done eharmony (for the reasons that erin mentions), but my experiences with Match and OKC line up with hers.

Fingers crossed that Taz comes home from the vet today! Basically he just needs to demonstrate he can pee on his own.

We discovered that our other cat, Marley, has been peeing on our bedroom rug. I have no idea why- Tom's theory is that he started doing it when Taz was in the litterbox all the time, and came to like it - but it basically sent me over the edge last night. I don't know if he's acting out because of Taz being gone for so long, or if it's Tom's theory, or what.

We removed the rug in question and put a second smaller litterbox nearby. Hopefully he will not find someplace new to pee... (this is extremely atypical behavior for him)

sigh Okay, I didn't take the possibly-dangerous medicine. The headache has receded but hasn't gone; I can still feel it, waiting, ready to pounce. I need to go see my gyno again anyway; I'll ask her about solutions. Thanks, all.

Zen, I get that same headache just before my period and I am on birth control pills. Drinking lots and lots of water is the one thing that seems to help when meds and caffeine aren't helping.

Please note the only reason I don't get that headache on the pill is that I skip the placebos and never have a period. So no hormone drop. If I took them I'd have it just as usual.
