SO. Y'all. I am a cyborg sent from the future to have this job. And I think I just might have convinced the interviewer of that. Really, I am generally cautious about such things out of superstition, but I ACED THE FUCK OUTTA THAT SHIT. It was just awesome people talking about awesome things. I was a little worried about the decon assessment, but I rocked that, too. He was a little worried that I was hoping for an office job (this is mostly field work) and I was like "oh honey no." Everything he brought up, I had a story of how I'd resolved a similar situation.
I'm through to the second round, I know. I have to send in salary requirements (bleccch, he wouldn't even give me a hint) so I need to crunch numbers today. The 2nd interview with his boss should happen sometime this week. They want the position to start ASAP.
I really, truly, honestly don't know how I could have interviewed any better. That is a new experience for me.
As for my roommate, they like her and want to hire her, but her availability may not match up with what they need.
