River: I didn't think you'd come for me. Simon: Well, you're a dummy.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Once, I put a garment in the dryer with a wet towel. I'm not sure whether it made a difference or not in terms of wrinkles.

I did turn the dryer on, just in case you were all wondering.

(and pretty damn mystified to boot) that there was something on my ironing board cover that may have been ::cringes:: cat urine

At least you noticed this BEFORE ironing it into your clothes, right?

I did turn the dryer on, just in case you were all wondering.

Glad you clarified! :)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Well. I had already ironed my pants. No smell seems to have transferred. Let's hope I don't wake up to a dramatic discolored patch on them.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Just popping in to say that I'm fine and so are my London-based friends. I'm unbelievably grateful right now that I've moved from London. Two of the places being seriously rioted are *minutes* from where I used to live. It's seriously freaking me out to see shops, stations, homes being looted, windows smashed, set alight. And then there's the fact that rioting has started outside of London, including in my city - but fortunately, it's very isolated here so far. The scenes are pretty horrific - residential buildings going up in flames, and all sorts. I'm a major pacifist and still can't understand why they haven't sent in the army yet.

Sail, stay safe!

Our wings are not tired.

Seska, been thinking about you and The Girl. Glad you are safe and thanks for checking in.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad you and your friends in the city are OK, Seska. I've been following things in The Guardian and the pictures are incredible. I hope everything calms down soon.

Thanks for the support. And if you want to see more positive images of the UK, and you're on twitter, follow @riotcleanup. Communities are getting together and coming out to clean up the post-riot mess. It's something!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Seska, I don't even know where to start. I'm glad you are ok. I wish we humans were beyond that sort of thing.

Sail, I'm glad you are ok, and more importantly, that the rhubarb crumble turned out. I'm rather fond of the "start with the mundane, escalate to the fantastic/amazing/terrifying, then conclude with everything's ok" method of story-telling. As my mother used to say, "You know something's wrong when they start out 'Now, dear, everything is going to be ok'".

Best of interview~ma, smonster.

Barb, you are amazing.

So, apparently the fix for stiff necks is lifting adult human beings for a shift.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

The iron, eh. Cold shoulder

You do know you have to get the iron HOT to use it, right?

Seska, good to hear from you! And I'll have to check out the riot cleanup tweets.

Umm, yay?

I just got up and am realizing StW has already been taking his boards for almost an hour. Only nine more to go!!
