How about a Shaternesque gut-cincher?
I'm gonna need an image with that sentence.
As for the astrology-lover: since it's the guy I currently work for - which means, the bright, blind, hearing impaired, on the autistic spectrum guy I type and read for - I held my tongue. I didn't mind the "criticizing" (he pretty much said that he didn't like that radio show I was a guest in - he asked me to send him the link to that show in the first place. He appreciates me professionally very much, though).
Again, I welcome honest and open communication because I think it saves effort and better for everyone's health and efficiency. I also didn't mind his opinion. Does that make me a Leo? Really? Because I do mind his justification.
I don't know, maybe he had a bad day today. He was himself, but just making jokes at everyone's expense. At one point it got on my nerves so much that I told him I am British (he went into a line of pointless, not funny jokes about The English and kept waiting for my response on them. I just told him that to make him stop). He apologized, but I think he didn't understand what bugged me.
We usually get along fine.
Just getting back here, had a friend visiting with me for the afternoon. I had some wonton soup for lunch thatnso far seems to be sitting okay. Hopefully this is a good sign.
Soup is good food! Congrats ND!!
Sox, Ima punch that guy right in his ivory tower.
Wonton soup yay!
Raq, is there other stuff besides the picture? He's always seemed incredibly bright, is he just not docile enough for them? Too evil-genius?
No, the teacher seemed OK with him (although I'm not sure I'm okay with her, as she tried to kill the parents via PowerPoint last night), but I know that basically he can't hear over the sound of how awesome he is, and that means he won't be able to achieve the goals set for him. Because he'll be doing his own thing while bored.
Yay ND!
I managed to get through today with much less pain than I'd expected. I attached the TENS electrode things and the wires to my ankle before getting dressed, and hooked the battery pack onto my waistband, and turned it on and off through the day as I needed it. Keeping in on through teaching helped a lot, since all the walking up and down the room hurts. I thought about keeping it on while driving, but decided that I wasn't sure if that was safe.
I stopped at the health food store on the way home. This place is so ridiculously impossible to find. You can't see it from the main road, but there's a sign by the main road right in front of where the store is. Problem is, if you're going in one direction, then the turnoff for the store is the second one after the sign, not the first one like you'd expect. If you're coming from the other direction, the turnoff is before the sign. And the sign doesn't say any of this.
It looks like the feeding tube will be coming out tomorrow barring any major setbacks.
