Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Yep. All in all, I've lost 10 pounds since the surgery. The doctor said that my body is going through a serious readjustment, so don't worry about the various changes in eating, etc. just yet.

I'm just glad you're healing well.

Oh, and so I don't seem like a total loser, thanks to everyone who wished me luck on the interview. I made it past the phone screening, and my package is being presented to the hiring team. I should find out by Friday if I'm going in for a F2F interview.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So sorry, Vortex. Not to belittle this, but you are so amazing that I can't imagine that employers won't be lining up to hire you.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Woot, Maria!

And thanks Scrappy (and everyone else). My BFF's husband, who's a PR whiz, has offered to look at my stuff, and he is the king of networking, so I have a plan.

Also, wierdly, this may end up being beneficial, because a while back, I found a program to restructure my mortgage, but you had to have some sort of upheaval. I think that this counts :)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Continuing ~ma, Maria; these are such tough times I wish ~ma was an actual physical resource we could purchase to share around.

Calli, yeah, as much as I want to leave I probably won't for family reasons. My father is 88 and I just wouldn't feel right leaving the state at this point. And his family is known for being long-lived. We have more than one centenarian in the family and any number of nonagenarians. He could be around until I'm ready to retire. So, I'm more planning on where will I retire to in 15 years? The PNW looks better and better every day.

Oh, and so I don't seem like a total loser,

Wait, what? "Loser" and "Maria" do not belong in the same universe, let alone sentence!

Good luck, vortex! At least you got to have the surgery while employed/insured? And yay phone screen Maria!

I'm in the Bismarck airport an hour ahead of my flight. Hoping that it isn't delayed even though the incoming is--need time to buy dinner in Minneapolis.

Vortex, the only problem with moving out of the area would be leaving your mother behind ... oh, wait ....
