Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Every time I read your posts, I want to volunteer my pickup to help - then I remember the whole "opposite ends of the continent" thing and say nothing.

Aw, thanks! We are a bit far from California, though. I think everything's coming together OK, there's just a lot to do. I keep looking around and thinking, we must be almost done packing, right? And then I remember the closets, or the bathroom, or my desk, or the pantry. Etc. etc. But soon enough comes the fun part: unpacking and decorating the new place!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Happy anniversary, Barb and DH! That restaurant looks delightful. I just wish someone would tell them that it's "Prix fixe" not "Prefix".

EpicT, that musical sounds pretty cool.

OMG, I slept twelve hours last night. I feel human again! Not sure what made the difference, maybe the melatonin? Also, I dreamed I was in an episode of Leverage with another wedding (different one). A former coworker and my baby niece (I don't have a niece of any age) had been kidnapped, and I got to punch six people in the face. Which was AWESOME.

In completely non-shocking news, we are having another thunderstorm.

In completely non-shocking news, we are having another thunderstorm.

In somewhat shocking news, Seattle just had a thunderstorm also! We don't hardly ever have them, and then suddenly it was POURING rain and there was thunder! Oooh! It's still cloudy and cool outside, which is probably for the best, since yesterday just walking around going "Ooh, weather!" and sitting in the shade, I got horribly burnt on the back of my neck/upper back.

Yeah, I was able to dash out between the thunderstorm this morning and the one that is happening now.

The rain is keeping things nice and cool, though! Makes me want to nap something awful.

You find a good place to keep your car out of flooding range?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am always startled when we get actualfax thunderstorms in the PNW. But we've had more than one just this year so maybe that's part of climate change. Really, I'd only been around for one in the five years prior. The cats are displeased. They don't care for thunder. Doesn't help that the biped thinks, "oooh, neat" and fails to hide under the bed like a critter should.

Happy anniversary, Barb. Delicious restaurant.

Jilli and I are getting cleaned up so we can go be fed delicious foods before I have to return her to Seattle later on today.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Happy Anniversary Barb and DH!!

And so much interview~~ma to Maria my Love.

IMememeNews - I am getting so excited for the trip to DC Emeline and I are going on in a couple of weeks. I want to show her just EVERYTHING, but I know that even though we'll be there for 5 days, we won't be able to do everything. I'm a bit worried about her keeping up with all the walking, but I'm sure she'll be fine. She's very excited. To the point that she keeps inviting people to come with us, no matter how many times I tell her that we are driving with other people and there isn't enough room for everyone to come with us.

I'm also trying to figure out how to pack efficiently for myself. I'm thinking a couple of neutral skirts and shorts, tank tops, and 1 pair of jeans and a hoodie. I am not, nor have I ever been, an efficient packer. I'm reading blogs and columns on how to survive in Europe for a month on two pairs of underwear and a sarong.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We had the most unbelievable rainstorm on Friday night. It came on all of a sudden sometime after midnight and was one of those where it's coming down so hard it's actually painful, but while those are usually a few minutes or fits and starts, this did not let up at all for at least three hours.

Conveniently, we had just arrived at the bar about four blocks from home when it started. No umbrellas, natch. They kicked us out at two when they started flooding. By the time we got back to my place, the baseball field across the street was almost knee deep underwater. (Which I know for a fact, because our Jameson-fueled minds immediately concluded that the thing to do was to start Nestea Plunging and slip-n-sliding. Well, we weren't gonna get any wetter.)

It had stopped raining by about 4 am and still set a single day rain record for the year, I'm told.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Don't wanna do anything today. Tired. And apparently whining.

Tomorrow is big move day. Workshop goes from basement of old building, to 3rd floor of new. Must do final packing/labeling. And sweep floor in new spaces, as it still has a fair amount of construction dust. Ick.
