Epic, that sounds like a fun weekend! Our weekend consisted of packing and more packing, then buying boxes so we could continue packing. Though we also managed to squeeze in three movies, so that was fun. And necessary, at least on Friday night, when our a/c was busted. (Fixed now, thank god.)

Then saw a new (to me definitely, but I think just new in general) musical (free, because a friend recently got an affiliated job) called Sleeping Beauty Wakes.

Was that at La Jolla Playhouse? If yes, the bulk of the sound system is from my workplace. One of our students worked on the sound team. Need to try and weasel some free tickets.

Very fun, though tiring ('cause I also ran all the non-interesting errands and etc.), but nowhere near so tiring as yours! Good luck this week getting your last details to come together. Aw, thanks! We are a bit far from California, though. I think everything's coming together OK, there's just a lot to do. I keep looking around and thinking, we must be almost done packing, right? And then I remember the closets, or the bathroom, or my desk, or the pantry. Etc. etc. But soon enough comes the fun part: unpacking and decorating the new place!

OMG, I slept twelve hours last night. I feel human again! Not sure what made the difference, maybe the melatonin? Also, I dreamed I was in an episode of Leverage with another wedding (different one). A former coworker and my baby niece (I don't have a niece of any age) had been kidnapped, and I got to punch six people in the face. Which was AWESOME.

In somewhat shocking news, Seattle just had a thunderstorm also! We don't hardly ever have them, and then suddenly it was POURING rain and there was thunder! Oooh! It's still cloudy and cool outside, which is probably for the best, since yesterday just walking around going "Ooh, weather!" and sitting in the shade, I got horribly burnt on the back of my neck/upper back.

Yeah, I was able to dash out between the thunderstorm this morning and the one that is happening now.

The rain is keeping things nice and cool, though! Makes me want to nap something awful.

I am always startled when we get actualfax thunderstorms in the PNW. But we've had more than one just this year so maybe that's part of climate change. Really, I'd only been around for one in the five years prior. The cats are displeased. They don't care for thunder. Doesn't help that the biped thinks, "oooh, neat" and fails to hide under the bed like a critter should.
