Yeah, I think in the case of burns, "not hurting" is actually not a good thing if it looks bad...

I seem to have done something weird to my arm. I scraped my fingers trying to get teh top off a bottle of ginger beer at the farmers market, and then bought bandaids for my fingers. So when I got home and my hand felt tingly, I thought "hmm, did I put the bandaids on too tight??" but no, it's now my whole arm feeling weird and unpleasant and tingly, and I don't know what i did to it or how to make it stop. Do not want. Have been holding arm in all sorts of contortionist positions to try to make it stop (doesn't really help, but if the muscles are going 'HEY! HEY! WHAT?" it takes precedence in my brain)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Flaming Batman head:

Ahaha! He looks FURIOUS! With his little clenched fists and flame bursting from his little head!

Hil, you are disturbingly badass regarding the 2nd degree burn. "Yeah, I may have toasted some nerves, there. It's just a flesh wound. Just gimme an aspirin, there's vegetables to be cooked!"

meara, that's weird. Please go to the doctor if it gets weirder or doesn't go away.

Yes, well, it did incur the slight fear of "Oh crap, if this is like, a heart attack or something, and I die, no one will find me for DAYS and I will be gross and smelly and my house is a MESS"

But I think it's more likely an issue of ...not carpal tunnel, but the other one. Anyway, I think it's my arm being weird about the nerves in it--it feels kinda like I hit my funnybone hard (except no pain in the funnybone, and I didn't)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Flaming Batman head

That phrase has so many possibilities.

The Spenco burn pads are miraculous.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I had something similar at one point, meara. My arm was vaguely tingly for a couple days, so I went to the doctor to have him check it. After ruling out a few more melodramatic-sounding possibilities, he settled on a pinched nerve.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

A pinched nerve was the diagnosis for me too when I kept waking up with numbness and the "funny bone" sensation in my left arm (accompanied by the panic of recalling all of those articles about the early warning signs of heart attacks in women) and the prescription was "don't sleep on that side" - which is much harder than it sounds.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Oh Jamie Oliver, that cook off stunt was painful. The first time this show has really made me stop and say WTF? Just how staged is this?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't really know what a doctor would do. First aid for burns is basically "let it heal." I got a very similar burn on my arm a few years ago, and there's not even a scar now, and I generally scar from everything.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, guys.

Morning. Back on the grid. I sent ONE email and had no phone signal all weekend, and it was fantastic!

The kids had so much fun, the weather at our friends house was amazingly SO MUCH BETTER than KS -- we were able to be in the creek in a great shaded place for 5 hours, and there was no sweating on their deck.

It was great. Anyone's who's FB friends, I have pix up.

And now, back to my massive to do list. WOO.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

you guys are... I'm pretty sure I have a pinched nerve in my left arm and a 2nd degree burn on my right hand. This was before I logged in today so not suggestible just clumsy and pained like so many of y'all. {{{bitches}}}
