I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The cat Toke threw up her breakfast yesterday (definitely NOT a hairball), and has been throwing up water intermittently since then.

That's what happened with Jeeves a few weeks back. It turned out to be blockage due to epic constipation. I do recommend getting her to the vet.

It turned out to be blockage due to epic constipation.

Tim checked the litter boxes and said they seemed to have much less signs of use (clumps indicating pee, poops) than normal. Okay. We'll head out as soon as we can wrangle her into a carrier.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm glad you got water back, sj.

Thanks. There was a water main break in the area according to the paper, so the cause is no longer a mystery.

Teppy, much cat~ma headed your way.

Compassionately intolerant

Though cats are not in my wheelhouse, Red Cross training suggests that Ginger and Anne are right on.

I hope it is something simple and painless.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Poor Toke and you guys.

Jeeves was set to rights with a course of laxative and some, er, manual intervention on the vet's part. It was unpleasant, but a fairly simple fix.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Be okay, Toke!

In news of me, my new braces are not nearly as uncomfortable as I feared they'd be, but eating has become an annoyance. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

Thrive to spite them

I was going to see Captain America with Will. We met at the theater that's about 1/2 for us. Had lunch that was really really bad. I should have gone with my first instinct. I've been feeling kinda PMS-y all week. And today I just started feeling really bad. Nauseous, bloated, bitchy. So we decided against the movie and I drove home thinking I'd lay down and try to sleep. But the landlady's daughters are upstairs running around and jumping. Her boyfriend is doing work on the apartment and needs to get in the stair well to finish up the firewall that's going in.

The only good thing so far is it's not hot. That and I'm eating a chocolate chunk, walnut, coconut cookie.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

askye, feel better! Toke, you too!

I had a delightful brunch with StW, and took a shower, and am now getting ready to do All The Laundries while reading about deck building. I'd rather be napping, given that once again I didn't get to sleep until afer 5 am, but oh well. We happened to brunch at the same place as several of his interns, so I'm sure the hospital will be abuzz with speculation this week. I suggested either a full-on makeout or a manufactured fight with cursing in foreign languages and thrown water, but we opted for a more natural, lowkey approach.

Back from the vet; there was no obvious disease/problem the vet could point to as the cause of the vomiting, so it may just be a generic stomach bug. It happens to humans; it can happen to animals.

Toke got a shot to stop the nausea/vomiting, and a medication she gets 1/2 hour before meals for a few days, and prescription bland food for a few days. So, she's under the weather but basically okay, or will be.

And she is very annoyed we took her to the Scary Place where she got a shot and a thermometer in her bottom.
