Book: Where's the doctor? Not back yet? Zoe: (beat) We don't make him hurry for the little stuff. He'll be along. Book: He could hurry... a little.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I will get some tomatoe food. I gotta go to get some heat-hardy flowers to replace my pansies from the spring.

Ok, off to wash the dog now!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

So the physicians assistant is supposed to call me back before the end of the day. The end of the day there is 4:30. So, what time do I call back if I haven't heard from them, now? 4:15? I hate to be a pain in the ass, but I really don't want to go to PT today without knowing what happened.

I did. I finally got through to the physicians assistant, who only knows what are in my doctors notes, which are somewhat confusing but seem to say that she was going to call me and tell me to exercise at home. And, of course, my doctor has already left for the day. I am just so frustrated with this whole situation, and I really don't want to go tomorrow.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So who slipped, while kneeling on her own bathroom floor, and dislocated her shoulder?

Me!

Spent 5 hours at the hospital and I got to ride in an ambulance for the first time! I was home alone with Emeline and with as bad as it was, there was no way Joe was going to get me there safely.

Holy fuck was/am I in pain. I've been given fentanyl, morphine, dilaudid, vicodin, and propofol.

Em though? Total rock star. Didn't freak out, helped me make phone calls, put the dog in the bedroom, and sat on the porch to let the EMT's in. Couldn't be prouder of her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yikes, Aims! Don't do that.

Well done, Girl Scout prepared Em!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesus, that's a lot of painkillers. And you still hurt? My urban legend understanding of dislocations is that they're a lot less painful after resetting.

Rock star, Em, though! Major major ouch.

Thrive to spite them

Sorry about your fall. Glad Em was there and could be such a help!
