Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

OMG. I coded. (ME!) I researched, added and tweaked plug-ins.

My eyes are crossing.

Can someone pretend they are an author looking at my blog, maybe interested in entering my giveaway and tell me if anything's confusing or crazy looking?

I need a beta or two. Dan made sure it was secure, but he's not a designer or codemonkey.

Oh, yeah, URL. It's www.eringriggs.com

Thanks for any eyes.

Xpost with Natter, so maybe I can tweak anything and go to bed.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The "Enter to Win" graphic isn't a link and if possible, it should be a link to the Contact Form.

Form filled out fine when I tried.

"I answer all legitimate queries within 2 business days." maybe change legit to professional. Less accusatory. I mean, I get you aren't answering spam but you don't want people feeling all judged before they can even think about hiring you.

Good point about the graphic, and I would LOVE to do that...but I coded that damned image into a Text widget, and it took me two hours to figure out how to do it.

I don't have the skills to make it a link, and I tried to add the Contact form code to the text box too, but it came out as just HTML.

I'll change that language here in a few, and I got your contact form just fine.

(Was it just a test, or do you wanna enter? Because I have NO entries ::sad face: )

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I never thought I'd get married. I didn't want to be oppressed by a man. Heh.

Happy belated, Ouise and Zen!

I hope you're feeling better since stopping the antibiotics, Vortex.

One of my cats is peeing in shoes and bags. This is very much not acceptable. There's rubbish all over the house that they can pee over. Not bags and shoes!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Catching up again on my day off. It's going to be near 100 degrees today, with heat indexes much higher due to the 3-4 inches of rain we got, 3 within an hour or so, yesterday.

If relative humidity could go over 100%, this would be the time.

On the other hand, I offer this Sherlock Holmes (RDJ) trailer screencap for Andi and others fond of Holmes/Watson pairings.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I never thought I'd get married. I didn't want to be oppressed by a man. Heh.

Well dang Seska, I'd say that worked out perfectly.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Daniel, we're looking at similar weather. Kind of wishing I hadn't chosen to read a review yesterday of a new book about the '95 Chicago heatwave.

Thrive to spite them

Day 2 of Shelburne Museum including the High Fashion exhibit. I wish I could have taken pictures but it was NO Photography.

Designers included: House of Worth, Carolina Herrera, a Lagerfield, some amazing 50s dresses by I forgot who. Shoes from the 19th century and 20th. This pink parasol.

Here's a link to the slide show, it does not include the cloak I was talking about, but it does show another. [link]

Oh and this clutch that was especially made for Electra Webb, that opened like a book and had a poem inscribed. I wish I had taken the time to write it down.

There was one cloak that had Jilli written all over it. It was House of Worth, full length affair. Black and pink kinda wave design and it was burn out or cut out. It was not plain, obviously but it was extra fancy. But it was lined in this floral brocade. It could have been the outside of the cloak. And they had it displayed in a corner with mirrors so you could see it from all angles.

Plus there was more art. Including a ton of American folk art. Pressed glass collection. Dollhouses and miniatures. WE saw duck decoys - including one the staff member said was auctioned for about $54,000 in the 50s. At one point a Serbian gentleman who lost the auction came to see that specific piece.

And carriages. Many of them owned and used by the Webb family.

I'm going to get the pictures up on flikr as soon as I can.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

When i was a kid i made my dad promise not to die until after i was married and had kids. I wonder if that is subliminaly holding me back wrt dating. I keep reminding my subconscious that it was not an either/or but an *and* clause, so i can get married (and have a single child) without worrying about non-causal patricide.
