Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Does it seem more like muscle pain, like a stiff/sore neck? I'm just wondering if it's because you've been taking it easy and sleeping more since the surgery.
Yeah, that's why I wasn't worried about it. Also, was falling asleep in weird positions on the couch, and sleeping on my back, which I don't normally do.
I called the doctor and they told me to stop taking it. I said "I know that you're the doctor and I trust you, but I thought that when you take antibiotics, you have to finish the course." She said "you're right, but since you're taking it to prevent infection, it's okay to stop"
I'd go with the doctor's recommendation. Especially since it was just for prevention, not treatment. The tendon problems can be extremely difficult to fix.
It's just that I have zero interest in being someone's rebound/good time/not that serious thing.
More info for you: Pete was technically my rebound. I went through a horrible break-up, swore off dating for 4 months (and dealt with my friends/co-workers making a betting pool about that), and Pete was the first relationship I fell into after that self-imposed vacation. If you had asked me then if I thought I would be still with him almost 15 years later, I would have smiled and said "Probably not".
So, y'know, we're here for you.
Argh! Bonny, I still owe you email, don't I? Sorry!
Lewis was theoretically a rebound. I'd sworn off dating/relationships and had been in that state of mind for close to a year. We got set up on a blind date that was so blind neither of us knew we were going on it.
Twenty-two years later...
I think I found another lurker
Ha! Sometimes I think the whole internet lurks here. But then I remember we're on the internet.
Anyway, that cartoon guy even looks a little like the SO when I met him. She'd have to draw a little carton mohawk for him now, though.
I was Dan's rebound. AND we found each other on OKC. FWIW, smonster.
Hivemind of pet knowledge: I have boxes and boxes of wet cat food in vacuum-sealed pouches with an expiration date of Oct 2010. Is it still okay to feed to them?
Give 'em a sniff, Zen. They should be okay if the packaging is air-tight enough. Any funky smell or greasy texture warrants the bin. Otherwise, it should be okay. Use them up sharpish though.
Jilli, I've written a couple of times and fear my messages must be in your spam filter. They would have come from mynamedotcom or comcast.
Thanks, bonny. Since they're in "gravy" it's hard tell if there's a greasy texture, but they smell okay. Of course, the cats may refuse to eat them anyway!
So if I understand correctly, a serial monogamist is someone who has an SO for a while, then they break up, then another relationship comes up for a while? Like Liz Taylor, except she married them?
