I think I found another lurker
Ha! Sometimes I think the whole internet lurks here. But then I remember we're on the internet.
Anyway, that cartoon guy even looks a little like the SO when I met him. She'd have to draw a little carton mohawk for him now, though.
I was Dan's rebound. AND we found each other on OKC. FWIW, smonster.
Hivemind of pet knowledge: I have boxes and boxes of wet cat food in vacuum-sealed pouches with an expiration date of Oct 2010. Is it still okay to feed to them?
Give 'em a sniff, Zen. They should be okay if the packaging is air-tight enough. Any funky smell or greasy texture warrants the bin. Otherwise, it should be okay. Use them up sharpish though.
Jilli, I've written a couple of times and fear my messages must be in your spam filter. They would have come from mynamedotcom or comcast.
Thanks, bonny. Since they're in "gravy" it's hard tell if there's a greasy texture, but they smell okay. Of course, the cats may refuse to eat them anyway!
So if I understand correctly, a serial monogamist is someone who has an SO for a while, then they break up, then another relationship comes up for a while? Like Liz Taylor, except she married them?
Yup. Pretty much anyone that always has an SO, but never has two. Amazing recuperative powers, and often the "rebound" relationships will last months if not years. I know me one of those.
ND was my rebound while going through a divorce, and that turned out pretty darned well.
You got yer serial monogamists all over the place. I'd say an analysis of his dating history is in order.
And sometimes people with no real dating history become monogamists despite themselves!
t sends sidelong grin at ND, who made sure to tell me early on that he would never get married
It's turtles all the way down.
If it had even one more turtle, it'd be on my Xmas list. As it is, I know every time I looked at it or wore it, I'd think, "But it really should be turtles all of the way down, not just one turtle." Not that I am mocking anyone's world turtle.
Yep, I was pretty certain that I wouldn't be the marrying type, and yet, here I am.
I never had any doubts that Dan would get married again.
I was VERY SURPRISED that I did!
