[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I pointed out a grey hair on my sister's head to me, and she lashed out quite viciously. She may be up to three now. I'm assuming we take after our father, and should beards come in, they will come in grey, but our heads will remain dark for a while. If I have any, they are where the mirror can't show them to me.
Steph wow! Five years it doesn't seem that long ago at all.
Also I'm going to try your scheduling methods.
So I gave the temp assignment doing assembly line work a try, three days. And I'm not going back. Not only is it hot, humid, loud, mind numbingly boring work that's physically demanding. BUT there's the added "bonus" of a small clique of young women (about 19 or 20 years old) that are close to the supervisor (who is in her mid twenties) and if you aren't on their good side you don't get the "easy" jobs (there is supposed to be a rotation but they don't rotate). Plus a few people who stepped on the Clique Queen's toes were asked not to come back. I got on her badside today and had to deal with some passive aggressive b.s.
I decided that I can deal with the hot, loud, physically demanding work OR dealing with personalities and wondering if I'm stepping on toes but not both. Not that any workplace is drama free but this totally felt like I was right back in middle school.

Yeah. I get a lot of 'It's not spontaneous!' and 'If it's fake it's not 'real.'
The problem with waiting for spontaneous to show up or the right time to present itself or the burning flame of passion to ignite on its own, is that...a few years down the road, without any actual maintenance, the relationship either fizzles and dies, or implodes and dies.
I like my plan better!

Of course, I am rather impatient.

sj, I am glad that the service was healing.
Heh, D and I need to do that. We get stuck in a rut of this is my dance space, this is your dance space, esp. since we are both so plugged in -- I'll be up here browsing or watching Netflix on the laptop, and he'll be doing the same thing downstairs.
DVR is great, but I am so glad when Burn Notice and Leverage come back on in new eps, because we both watch those, and we like out instant gratification.
Weeknight sex is pretty sporadic, since he goes to sleep at 9:30 and I don't. But I'm pretty much a Vortex or Tep, and just announce "WOO! Let's have some SEX! RAWR!" But I need to do it more often. (He's still shier than I am, bless him...)
Vortex, that link takes me to a graphic of a handwritten page that I can't read between my bad eyes and poor quality computer. Is there a plain text copy of the comment on not teaching cursive? (Umm to be clear: not being a smartass. I genuinely can't read it, and genuinely am curious as to what it says.)

Ha! I texted notes to add to my calendar this morning.
But I also signed for a package and I KNOW that the Fed Ex guy typed in my last name because that is legit scrawl with no letters but he also got the first initial wrong. Which I thought was readable when I signed.
So I am going to use the handwriting homework book that I bought a year or so ago. Because I don't like how awful my longhand is now and want to change it.
My job search is really frustrating when I run across a position I would be great for
a Receptionist with great people skills on behalf of our client, a well-established insurance agency located in Burlington.
This entry-level position is a temp to hire opportunity in a professional office.
Except one thing - the #1 Requirement:
A Bachelor's degree is Business or a related field
Which I don't have the rest I pretty much do have: 1-2 years experience, great references, the ability to take direction, good verbal and written communication skills.
But it is listed by a temp agency I haven't contacted so that's what I'm going to do tomorrow.
My great written and verbal skills notice there's a freaking typo in the ad.
