It's a shame they don't sell the pink bowls alone. I don't need anymore mugs.
Well, technically, I don't need anymore bowls either. But my bowls are more boring.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yeah, that's not your adulthood fail, that's R's landlord fail. He back in the country?
Yes, he is. And the plot thickens - I went in to start an account and get it turned back on, and there hasn't been an authorized meter there since Dec. 2008. I saw on the screen that a stolen one was found there in Dec. 2010. So she recommended that I *not* start an account, in case there's a tampering charge (which is $300) and call tomorrow to see what the report is on the meter they removed. I haven't decided whether I'm going to call Ray before or after I find out what they say.
So I'm going to be without water for a few days. Related note, uh, can I take a shower at your place?
And my COBRA stuff has gone missing, but MFC (my former company) sent me a bill - according to United, *they* do the billing, so WTF is MFC telling me to send them money? When United hasn't even gotten my info yet? I am pretty sure I made copies before I sent off my forms, but I can't find them. And I don't remember if I sent them to United or MFC, or which MFC told me to do. And of course the HR person at MFC is not in today.
Kate, do you still have the 413 number?
Yeah, no problem. Your towel is still there from when you used it before!
Went for a long walk which helped burn off some of the cobwebs and brought on a weak semblance of an appetite, then got lunch. Still kicking myself about having such a waste of a weekend, but only a little as I can't do anything about it now but try not to do this in the future.
I should try to get to laundry now; I always feel better when that's done, even though I hate the effort involved in doing it (no in-house facilities, so it's off to the laundromat).
What is done is done. The future is still full of possibilities. yay for walks and lunch.
Kate, do you still have the 413 number?
That's the one! Ugh, what a mess about the water, and I hope you can get the insurance stuff figured out soon.
Frank, sorry you've had a bad weekend. I know that feeling and it sucks, but I usually do find that doing laundry helps! And eating too, and getting outside, so I think you're doing what you need to be doing at this point. I hope it helps.
Thank you, Nora. I should be gone before you get home. As a data point, do you pay your water or is it included in your rent? Max thinks he's trying to "run game" on me.
It is included in my rent. We pay for electricity and that's it. (well, cable/internet too, but that's not usually ever under a landlord's purview)
Yeah, I'd definitely push back some on this, he's rapidly becoming slumlord-tastic. Let us know if there's anything the neighborhood association can do as well.
Hmmm... man, I hope I don't have to move suddenly, but this dude is seeming sketchier and sketchier.
Frank, good for you for being proactive, even if you don't feel like it. In DBT that's called Opposite Action.
Boy, am I glad I had a lovely weekend and a sweet boy to think about, or else I'd be setting the world on fire right now. If I can get through all this without smoking, I can definitely quit for good.
