Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I never did Atkins per se, but while eating low-carb low-glycemic, my triglycerides and cholesterol levels went down quite a bit so I wonder what the heart guy could be talking about. I kept it all off for 3 years and really thought I'd kicked it by that point. Yeah, I gained it all back over the next 2 but that's happened with more diets than low-carb ones.

Scrappy, I know what that's like. I found it actually helped me in a way. I became so bored of what I was eating that I no longer spent time thinking about food. (I'm a picky eater anyway so when a diet limits me from eating foods I actually *like*, it's a small array of stuff I'm left with.)

Always Anti-fascist!

Tep, I defended kink the other day. My editor over at B&S(sometimes I'm so tempted to remove the punctuation...you have no idea) sent me a bondage story, all tittery. It was pretty hot, I suppose, but more PWP-y than we generally publish...he was right to reject, but then he said he was into more "normal" things. I Bitchslapped him for being so judgemental, and corrected him to "He likes more *vanilla* things." Sometimes I think he is such an asshole. But he's got a sad little blind married-guy crush on me...that sounds like the set-up to a joke, right? And he's not even the first one. I do very well with unattainable people who can't see what I look like. You know you're jealous.

move out and draw fire

I love that erika capitalized "Bitchslapped." It is, in fact, different than "bitchslapping."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

What's PWP?

Always Anti-fascist!

In this case, it was an undifferentiated Dom burning his pliant, unnamed, but still wicked orgasmic sub with scented candles and shit(standing in for et cetera, not like, actual...well, it is the internet. I feel that I must specify) ETA: Thanks, Raq. I thought so, too. I really wish I hadn't started teasing this guy, ever. Really not. Then I showed him my crime fiction and he thinks I am Lara Croft Has A Terrible Accident. Which is better than what most people think I am, but still fake. They didn't cover this shit at Sbarro's.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Spidra, we are opposites when it come to diet . If my food is too limited , all I think about is food. I love to eat and I am not picky. I gained 50 lbs in college -- because I kept looking for food that had flavor. I find if I go for high quality, with a variety of tastes and textures I have more control.

This week is a little more planned for me meal wise. I have meatloaf with mushrooms tucked in it for dinner tonight and Wednesday with be chicken fajitas. I also bought some sort of a squash soup. I have some fennel and asparagus and a few frozen veggies. and I can make a number of different sandwiches. I think I have enough food and variety to keep us home all week .

I'm not always that way, beth. But if my discipline is good enough that I'm not going to cheat, then eventually I get bored with the limited palette. At the time I did that diet regimen I was living by myself so it was much easier to control how much temptation I was around.

If I have money I cook healthy often but when I'm poor I eat a lot of ramen and micro burritos. I know you can eat healthy on the cheap but it's haaaard.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I think it is always easier to eat less healthy . Easy fast prepared foods are easier to grab when you are in a hurry or just don't want to cook.

ION, still in the food area , I realized my grocery shopping for a week was about the same amount of money as going out twice last week . I like eating out, but I'd like it to be a bit less often
