Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Are there any Pagans on b.org?

Seska, I've been a solo practitioner for more than 25 years. I say 'more than' because I honestly can't remember the 'start.' It's been that long.
Feel free to drop me a line, if I can answer any questions.
Steph! Happy first day of a great year. I'll be vibing a hamster ball of clean air around you on this journey. I hope it turns out better than expected.
Windsparrow, I've been listening to Terry Pratchett's novels in order. The phrase "and no mistake" pops up often. Love it!
Vortex, good news about the blood...may the cardiologist have a simple, painless solution.
ARGH.
Having to pack to go to NY. Again. And while there will be much in the way of merriment and the like going on, I've got the most massive case of the "don' wannas" that I've ever felt.
I just wanna stay home, under the covers, watching baseball and petting the dogs.
And this when I have to go face 2500 wimmens and be "on" for nearly a full week. Possibly with jazz hands.
Gah.
Tell me it'll all be good.
It'll be all right! Once you get there, you know your energy will go up.
Do you have a room to yourself? You can hide out there when you need to recharge. And you'll see people you like! And NYC has lots and lots of SHOES, Barb.
SHOES.
Remember the Rule of 5 -- pack 5 things, or work on a task for five minutes. Set a timer!
You can get everything you need to do accomplished if you do it 5 things or 5 minutes at a time!
Barb, you are going to be so brilliant, it's going to be ok.

I got that "We've landed on our feet, and no mistake" from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - I may not be remembering perfectly, but it's what I remember Peter saying to his younger siblings after they arrive at the professor's house and meet him. It seemed like a good welcome to a new home.
IOmememeN, I had yet another reaction to eye drops - the itchy-hurty from Wednesday got worse yesterday. Since I was using both the Naphcon and the second antibiotic drops, it is impossible to tell which one was making me feel like I had ground up glass in my eyes. I could not bear to do last night's dose of the AB. I felt better already when I woke up. The PA I spoke to this morning said to stop both of them, wait a few days, if need be, see their opthalmalogy dept. As there are only two days left of an 8-day course on the AB, and there have been zero signs of infection for three days, I'm hoping there will not be a resurgence of the pink eye. Also, I'm not sure how much the relevant occular tissues get a good blood supply, but I am still taking the amoxicillin, so maybe that will help, too.
Okay, Andi's eyes-- CUT IT OUT!
But they've made up their minds, and all I can do is stick to my plan to keep an eye on my lungs...and probably stay indoors for most of this vacation.
I wish you good TV, excellent books, and adequate filters in the ventilation system!
I know Buffistas have changed my life, and I'm pretty sure I never would have road tripped to Atlanta or flown out to Seattle without you guys as impetus.
Also, I never would have met Nilly, and my life would have been the poorer for it.
Oh, DAMN, Andi, that ain't right!
Your eyes need to stop being delicate flowers!
Your eyes need to stop being delicate flowers!
INORITE? What the hell, eyes? I have fic to write! Stop getting in the way.
Maybe you're channeling Oedipus?!
(SCARY!)
