Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Insent, Vortex! Are you Mac or PC?
I'm PC, and backflung.
Smonster, a good thing anyway to do would be save your CV as a PDF for use in sending to people. That way you won't need to be concerned with text or formatting not working with their Word versions.
I'm on a mac, feel free to send (I have an older version of word, so that'll be a challenge too! :)
And I would agree with java that PDF is probably best.
Although some places demand other formats. I think my office's HR people use to ask for rich text format for some reason. Still, if it's not specified, pdf's probably a very good choice.
You know, I was just talking to my therapist the other day about my limited internal definition of "normal" (or maybe "okay for me" is a better term) and I was telling her about all the "friends" (okay, buffistas), who have opened my eyes to all these different ways to live and be happy.
Honestly, I think that is the board's greatest gift to me - the realization that there are many ways to be "okay".
I definitely wouldn't have.
I know for darn certain I wouldn't have.
Massive gleeful riotous happy birthday to you, Tep! The forties welcome you with great pleasure. I've lived here for almost three years now, and it's a much niftier neighborhood than you would have thought in your twenties. A tiny bit shabbier and more run-down than might be absolutely optimal, but with its own funky charm.
Yeah, I agree that PDF is a good idea. It's just been tricky b/c I use Pages, not Word, and so Erin and I have been bouncing things back and forth, but I'm never quite sure if what she's sending is what I'm seeing.
Anyway. Thanks for the help. I'm going to eat some food before I lose my shit. Oh, low blood sugar-induced rage blackouts, you suck.
