Happy Birthday, Teppy! May those wildfires swiftly be controlled, and may, no matter the time frame in which that happens, you find many ways to relax and enjoy yourself on your vacation.
Yay, phone-finding, meara!
Then he runs off to find his grandparents and give them both hugs and kisses, giggling madly the entire time.
For all as mucked up as this world is, it's things like that that gives a bit of hope that we haven't quite managed to screw every single thing up.
The plan is to drive to Greensboro tomorrow, and then the rest of the way Saturday.
Tep, I don't know whether there's room for a Plan B, but Asheville, NC, is supposed to be lovely this time of year (and fairly accessible from Greensboro).
Happy birthday, Steph! I hope the wildfires stay out of your way.
Any yay meara for locating your phone!
Asheville is, in fact, quite lovely. But I hope that the fires clear up and you get to stick with your plans for Topsail, Teppy.
I just saw the Sass questions. You all pretty much have it correct - she was spotted about 5 miles from our house, about 5 miles from where she was lost, and has probably wandered hundreds of miles since then around Rock Creek Park. The track we did was 4-5 miles, and we're picking it up tonight to see if we can learn more from it.
Vibing hard for you, Sparky.
Lots of ~ma for Sass coming home soon.
Sparky, I want Sass to be found so badly. I'm very hopeful for you!
Tep, that's scary! I hope, for many reasons, that those fires get under control. You NEED a good, stress-free vaca for one!
You know, despite all the trouble your husband's ex causes, I feel much the same way reading your posts too.
Aw, thanks, BT! Life is pretty weird, huh? It turns out...ok. Whodathunk?
Yay Teppy 40th! Happy Birthday! Wow, we have a cluster of Buffistas turning 40 this year. ND turned 40 in April and claims it feels a lot like 39.
Chiming in also with the chorus of look-how-much-better-things-are...I moved to LA six years ago as of August 1st. I intended it as a chance to start over but never dreamed it was actually coming home to the person I was meant to spend my life with. So many of us are so much happier now. It makes me feel good.
