Yay Teppy 40th! Happy Birthday! Wow, we have a cluster of Buffistas turning 40 this year. ND turned 40 in April and claims it feels a lot like 39.
Chiming in also with the chorus of look-how-much-better-things-are...I moved to LA six years ago as of August 1st. I intended it as a chance to start over but never dreamed it was actually coming home to the person I was meant to spend my life with. So many of us are so much happier now. It makes me feel good.

Wow! When did that happen?!? I seriously feel like it was just recently that I was having dinner with ND and he was telling me you were moving out there! ...and I lived in DC back then. Dang time flies! Yay, happiness.
There was a cluster when I turned 40 also...alas, I am heading into the mid-40s now.
In the category of life changing anniversaries, next week marks the 3 year anniversary of moving to Denver. Since then, mom died, K-Bug started and graduated college and is about to move out here with me, the divorce was finalized and KCD has remarried, CJ has discovered his love of karate and is about to start high school, and I have a job that is more rewarding. I'm also much less stressed than I had been in California.
K-Bug graduated in 3 years? Go her!
Yep, sj. When she crossed the stage last month, she actually had 2 more classes to complete. Those started a week after grad and will finish next Wednesday. So she will be an official, official graduate within the 3 year mark.
Today seems to be my onerous task day. I went to PT this morning. And now I am at Toyota getting an oil and filter change and new windshield wipers prompted by the fact that it is pouring out and is supposed to continue to do so for a couple of days. I'm going to reward myself with a trip to the comic store and the record store.
Re: life changing events. I met TCG over 6 years ago and I can't even count the ways my life has changed since then.
Suzi is she planning on graduate school or is she looking for work near you?
Both kinda. She is going to take a year or so off and look for work as a PT aide. She needs to get some grad school requirements out of the way before she can apply so she will work on that at the same time.
She also has a new boy in her life, so who knows what influences will come from that direction. He is pretty level headed, so I don't think he will try to pull her away from her goals.
So many of us are so much happier now. It makes me feel good.
And if you are not, remember, you never know what's going to happen!
I couldn't have really imagined the change my life took a little over 3 years ago.
